Well, your mileage may vary depending on the other guests of course. But the place and its owners itself provide quite the opportunity for a great experience.

I will just share mine. Arrived well after 19:00 on the first eve of a 2 night stay. After confirming we were in the right Ketino (there is another one in town). Were shown to an amazing room (not in any modern or design sense. But still... amazing: great wall carpets, retro design, incredible heavy pillows, fluffy soft beds... etc)

Then we had about 10 minutes left to decide if we wanted to join their home made dinner for 25 gel at 20:00. Had no idea what we were getting into. But confirmed. And was the best choice ever. Great Georgian food, more than you can eat + drink. This on one great table with all the other guests. In our case those were all pleasant traveling people to chat and share a meal with.

Afterwards had a great time in the communal living room with some other guests playing the piano present there and chatting along.

Breakfast was also abundant, exquisite and worth the 10 gel price (great mini pancakes!). Good coffee & tea.

Shared bathrooms are basic but functional, clean & plenty of hot...

Побывав в гостеприимном доме у Кетино, я благодарен судьбе (и друзьям), что познакомился с этой милой женщиной и ее семьей и ее окружением. Немного удивлен малому количеству отзывов на сайте, потому что после визита невозможно молчать и скрывать ту бурю эмоций, которой непременно следует делиться с окружающими. Доброта к каждому из посетителей, туристов, путников и просто заблудших странников. Всем тут рады, и обо всех позаботятся. Да вы и сами сможете проверить мои слова...От потока гостей дом не пустует и он всегда полон. Очень много иностранных туристов (со всех точек земного шара) оставили слова благодарности на одной из стен гостинной (очень много сувениров и благодарностей). По существу: двухэтажный грузинский дом (именно грузинский - с большой мансардой, садом и двором). Комнаты на любое количество гостей. Все удобства в комнатах (чистота и домашний уют). Есть ви-фи. Кормят на первом этаже (на момент визита в стоимость 60 лари входили завтра и ужин). Вечерний прием пищи сопровождается возможностью попробовать грузинское вино и.или чачу (в объемах пития нас не ограничивали). Ассортимент еды удивляет - это не шведский стол и не меню, но у вас есть шанс попробовать большинство блюд грузинской кухни за один присест (а если есть изыски, то при обсуждении с Кетино, они также будут учтены). Дом близко к Горе Казбек и поэтому его любят туристы (кто идет на восхождение). Также, дом близко к дороге, ведущей в Тбилиси после российской границы (что тоже плюс). Я ни один раз бывал в Грузии, и очень люблю эту страну. Такие люди как Кетино, делают Грузию гостеприимной и оставляют желание возвращаться снова и снова. ||Мой совет сарафанному радио - если Грузия в районе Степанцмида - то это однозначно Кетино гест хауз.||||Recently I was in a hospitable Ketino gusethouse, I am grateful to fate (and friends) that I met this lovely woman and her family. A little surprised by the small number of reviews on the site, because after a visit it is impossible to remain silent and hide the storm of emotions that you should certainly share with others. Kindness to each of the visitors, tourists and travelers. Everyone here is happy, and all will take care. Yes, everyone can check my words and visit Ketino guesthouse ... Guesthouse is not empty and it is always full. A lot of foreign tourists (from all points of the globe) have left words of gratitude on one of the walls of the living room (a lot of souvenirs and thanks). Essentially: there is two-story Georgian house (just Georgian - with a large mansard, garden and courtyard). Rooms are for any number of guests. All the amenities in the rooms (cleanliness and home comfort). Wi-fi. Dining place on the first floor (at the time of the visit, in the cost of 60 lari included breakfast and dinner). Evening meal is accompanied by the opportunity to taste Georgian wine and chacha (in volumes of drinking we were not restricted). The assortment of food surprises - it's not a buffet and not a menu, but you have a chance to try most of the dishes of Georgian cuisine in one sitting (and if there are delicacies, after discussing with Ketino, it'll also be taken into account). The house is close to Mount Kazbek and therefore it is loved by tourists (who goes to the climb). Also, the house is close to the road leading to Tbilisi after the Russian border (which is also good). I a lot of time was in Georgia, and I really love this country. People like Ketino make Georgia hospitable and leave the desire to return again and again.||My advice - is definitely Ketino...

Ketino's guest house is a wonderfully welcoming place a few minutes walk from the town center. The rooms were big and airy with shared bathroom (without the usual queue though, as there were several showers available). The best part is the family that runs the place, led by Ketino herself, which are as friendly and welcoming as can be. There is a small 'dining room' where you can meet other travellers and make real conversation, you can also go to the kitchen and see what's cooking today. They make dinner themselves of course, which had its ups and downs (in general I'm not a huge fan of Georgian cuisine so not really the right person to judge) but was worth the extra cost both for the company and keeping in mind that evenings in town are not very active. They also gladly helped with tours and transportation - nothing too organized as everyone seemed to be either family or friends.||||For what it is supposed to be - somewhere between a homestay and a guesthouse - it is almost perfect. Happy to recommend and will come back if I return...
