Hotel Niedersachsen — Hotel in Artland

After looking on TripAdvisor at this hotel I had already judged this hotel as being dated, but once I arrived I could see the pics don’t do it justice. Yes it is slightly dated, but offers everything you need for a business trip. The owner welcomed us in as we arrived around 8pm and promptly booked us in and gave us our room keys, the rooms are very spacious and have a large bathroom. There is a bar in the reception area and free Wi-fi throughout the hotel, breakfast was a bowl of bread rolls, a plate of meat & cheese, boiled egg and a pot of tea or coffee with a selection of cereal. We stopped for a night here as I had a business meeting nearby. This hotel looks to cater mainly for business travellers and is fine for that purpose. It is an older style hotel but is clean and comfortable. There is a lounge area at the entry with an adjacent dining room for breakfast. The breakfast was fine. The staff were polite and formal. Quakenbruck was a pleasant surprise, with lovely old buildings down the main street and in the market square. Evening dining options are limited...

Meine Frau und ich haben auf unserer Radtour im Hotel Niedersachsen übernachtet. Beim Betreten des Hotels war mein erster Gedanke: sehr ungewöhnlich - ein Thekenbereich mit Teppichboden und ein kleiner Tresen als Rezeption hinten in der Ecke. Oh je! Aber das war eben nur unser erster Eindruck. Lassen Sie sich dadurch nicht beirren! Es war wirklich alles topp. Der Hotelier begrüßte uns sehr freundlich, stellte sich mit Namen vor und tat wirklich alles, um uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Unser Zimmer war das Gegenteil vom Eingangsbereich - das hätten wir jetzt wirklich nicht erwartet: elegantes großes Zimmer mit zwei großen Betten, bequeme Matratzen, große Fenster mit Insektenschutz. Ein Fernseher gehört heute ja zum Standard, aber ein Kamin für die kühlere Jahreszeit inclusive Fernbedienung - das ist schon eine Besonderheit. Und angenehm überrascht waren wir auch von dem großen Badezimmer mit der sehr geräumigen Dusche. Für uns war es auch wichtig, dass wir unsere Räder sicher abstellen konnten. Es war für alles gesorgt, große, ordentliche Garage mit Luftpumpe und Fahrradständern. Das Frühstück war wie zu Hause - frische leckere Brötchen, reichlich frisch gekochter Kaffee, leckerer Käse und Aufschnitt, ein nicht tot gekochtes Ei und noch ein paar ausgefallene Leckereien.
