Romantik Hotel Villa Sayn — Hotel in Bendorf

A little of the beaten track but a real gem and well worth visiting, if just for the food.||||I stayed here with friends as a stop between the Nurburgring and Munich based on a local recommendation. We were really impressed with the friendliness and welcoming staff and the rooms had been recently refurbished offering comfort, cleanliness and good facilities. ||||We ate in the restaurant and I have to say the food was absolutely superb. My friends and I have dined in some top restaurants and the food we received at Villa Sayn was certainly amongst those. Well presented without being too fussy, good portions and delicious. Our waiter/host (Jochen) really helped make the evening, he talked us through his wine list and made recommendations to complement our food choices. ||||Breakfast was a traditional buffet style continental offering and very satisfactory. ||||There was a little road noise at the rear of the hotel but not enough to disturb me once I had dropped off. ||||All in all, great place and excellent value...

We stayed at this hotel only for one night. We booked junior suite for 145 euros and it’s definitely worth it. Room is bigger and price difference with the standard room is not that huge. We booked a room without breakfast and in fact it’s served only until 10 am. We had a nespresso coffee In the room And it was quite ok. Milk is available on request. There was no bathrobe and house shoes but I’m convinced it’s available on request. The rest is great shower and bathroom facilities are new. Towels And bed sheets are super clean and fluffy. We had a dinner in the evening at the in house restaurant. Highly recommend pasta with sage and shrimps. It’s so so yummy! Waiter was patient with us and helpful without too much pushing ! I've been visiting Villa Sayn from time to time over the last 15 years, and it is still the same - which is meant positive. It is somewhat off the beaten path, and the surroundings are not too interesting, but it is a little oasis of peace and quiet.|I sleep very well here, something the business traveler knows to value.|Rooms are generous an beds are good, and cleaned with German efficiency.|However, if you only sleep here, you miss the biggest plus. As a guest, you might notice that at night there more cars in the parking than there are hotel guests.|The restaurant is absolutely fantastic, and those who know don't mind a longer drive to get here.|The wine selection is local and very good, and the service knows its way with it.|When I am any where near Koblenz, I try...
