Central Hostel Berlin — Hotel in Berlin

This hostel was perfect for what we wanted, and it will be for you too.||From the airport, take the S9 or S45 metro to Greifswalder Straße (you can buy these tickets in the airport from the ticket desk for €3.30 per person for the single journey). Exit the station and you'll see a McDonald's on your left, turn right here and walk to the crossroads. Cross the road (a supermarket called Kaiser's will be in front of you) and then turn left and cross this road. Turn right and there will be a road on the left (with a pub on the corner). Go up this road on the side farthest from you, and the hostel will be on your right (number 7!).||This station is so close which makes the short trip in Berlin very easy. You can buy tickets to do several days from the machines in the station, which we thoroughly recommend! The hostel's internet is GREAT, but if you're out and in desperate need of wifi, McDonald's is a good shout (free Internet for 3 hours).||The beds are super comfy (quite low so if you can't bend down, I don't recommend! Haha). There is a sink, mirror, hairdryer, soap and TV. Towels and tissues are also supplied! ||The kitchen is very clean and extremely well equipped bar an oven (which we learned by having to microwave garlic bread WHOOPS!). It has a microwave, stove, kettle, all utensils including pots and pans, coffee and tea filter maker, fridges and even an iron!||The shared bathroom was always spotlessly cleaned by the lady who comes in every day, and the shower has terrific power! There is also a smaller WC in case you need the loo while someone is in the shower!||We loved this hostel. Our only complaint was that the curtains weren't thick enough for the lovely weather! I liked everything about this hostel. My expectations were really low before my stay. First, the hostel is in a good+safe neighborhood which is close to the city center (25 min) and also quiet. Grocery store, s-bahn and tram stations are in 2-3 min walk distance. Also 2 nice cafés. Our room was really big and well furnished. Just like pictured on the website.6 rooms, 2 toilets and 1 bathroom. Everything was very clean.It felt like home. You have everything you need as a traveler in the bathroom. Kitchen is also very clean and has every equipment to cook. Other guests were very kind and friendly. the reception is usually closed but everything is well organized so you don't need one. I only met the cleaning lady who was kind. This place was beyond our expectations considering the money we paid. Much better than the hotel with 3-4 stars we stayed around Europe. Also, the Wi-Fi was excellent! It was really fast in our room. I will definitely come back to this place...

Location is very good. You have a direct access from Airport Schönefeld with the S9 and less than 5 mins to walk from the station in Greifswalderstrasse to the hostel. Even if there¨s no reception the "check-in went fine". When entering you get an immediate good impression. But even if it looks nice there are a few problems. Firstly, one of the two fridges actually functioned as a freezer, next there is a problem with noise. If you're in room no 1 you can hear absolutely everything from the kitchen area+from the neighbour on the 1st floor+from the neighbours that share the same back yard. But if you bring your ear plugs everything should be fine. It's a very nice and quiet neighbourhood with super marked and other shops very close and with very easy access wjth the tram to the city center. Comfy bed. Internet connection...
