Positive:||-This was our 3rd time stay at the Hotel Atlantic and certainly will stay again! It is a simple, cleaned hotel with everything what a guest needed! ||-Since we faced a problem in getting to our Room (after reception closed) during our 2nd time stay (we complained on that to the hotel as well mentioned in the Tripadvisor), this time when when we arrived as usual we collected the room key as per the instructions and when went to the room, and found it was kept opened, perhaps it was due to the problem we faced last time! We found that was very helpful instead waiting at the door for several hours in the late night trying to opening the door we got into the room straight away! Also, due to our bad experience and complaint about the key issue, we found that they have put notices on every room door and in the lifts with instructions on how to open the door! I must say that Hotel Atlantic key system is very rare in the hotels, at least I have not found anywhere being a frequent traveller, so that system is not an easy one for many guests! However, we are happy that they took precautions to avoid we facing same problem in leaving the door opened on our check-in!||-Brekfast is value for the money and very handy as a tourist because having a breakfast at the hotel make easy to plan the day ahead!||-Parking is also very convenient though it is on the public road since it is very quite neighbourhood.||-Cleaned hotel with simple amenties which is enough for the stay||- Public Transport is just outside the Hotel which take you to the Berlin Center in about 20 minutes.||- There are many restaurants close by the hotel which is also very convenient to choose where to eat!||- "Grupious Passagen" Shopping Mall is 5 mts. drive from the Hotel||||Negative:||Cash payment - still they do not accept credit cards but cash only! I believe as a tourist paying from Credit Card is the one and only convenient method which most of the hotels are accepting these days! So, it would be helpful if accept...
Read moreIt's fine for travelling on a budget.||The room we had was fine. The rooms were well kept. The Hotel based in a residential area with not a whole lot around it.||Our room was non-smoking but unfortunately, being at the front of the building, we were not far from the seated outdoor smoking area, so we would occasionally have to close windows if someone was outside smoking. This was problematic because it seemed like the heating was always on (at least a couple of days during our stay) and so rooms got very hot at night. ||The hotel seems to be running a skeleton staff. There is not always someone at reception and it appears to only be staffed at certain hours. During our stay, there was no hot water for one of the mornings. It was fixed by the time we returned in the evening. The only method we had to contact the hotel staff about this issue was via email.||The only time we actually interacted with the staff during a week-long stay was when the older receptionist stopped us to remind us that we had to pay the day before we checked out. She also insisted we had requested to pay in cash. We had not. ||I got the impression the hotel is winding down but it was fine for a budget stay. Take note that it is located close to the airport but you're a 10-15 walk to the U-Bahn. It maybe took us 30-40 mins to get anywhere we wanted to go. ||If you're on a budget and don't mind a bit of a walk to public transport, it's fine. Be mindful they may insist on...
Read moreThey have a no refund policy if cancellations or changes are made 7 days before check in. I missed mine by less than 12 hours and well yes, legally they are allow to do it but it cost me over 2000 euros. Inspite of multiple requests, they refused to budge even though the hotel was totally sold out and they could have easily sold some part of the booking i had. Yet they refused to refund even the slightest amount. ||||Can't say about the hotel, but if a hotel thinks it is fine to charge 2000 euros and provide no service, I don't think I would have anything good to say. Maybe I only got through to the customer service guys and if the owner gets this, it may make a difference. If not, then good luck with...
