relexa hotel Frankfurt/Main — Hotel in Frankfurt

The hotel is tired and the staff are not interested at all!!! Arrived and the staff were no where to be seen, only for one member to be eating, sat in a jumper and i was asked to wait until they had finished eating... A very young boy then came and served me, only to be the one that gave me the wrong information on where my meeting room was the following morning. There is no air-conditioning, there is no coffee making a facilities, the pillows are so flat they cannot be classed as pillows. There is no iron and ironing boards in the rooms, there are stains in the bathrooms and the overall rooms are well worn. I also hired a meeting room, on check in the staff said 7th floor, only to find out the room was on the 1st floor. I asked for breakfast and drinks - I was offered 2 mini pastries, nothing else, until I went and questioned them - 1 hour later other food was brought up but it was too late. The hot drinks were not stationed by the food - the expectation was to walk down 2 flights of stairs every time to get a hot drink! The facilities were terrible and I was to pay of £450 for 4 hours to use VERY POOR facilities - I have stayed at this hotel 3 times as it is convenient to attend meetings, but myself and my team (we had 5 rooms this time) will not stay here again! Poor facilities and the costs...

I have stayed here many times as it is right next to the office I work in when I travel to Frankfurt.||The Good: restaurant food can be excellent. The odd dish is truly exceptional.|It is very conveniently located for me.|The bar can be quite vibrant at times.||The bad: decor is truly hideous, like something from an 80s pop video with range tiger print everywhere.|Smokers are allowed to smoke in the bar so everywhere tends to reek of smoke, as will your clothes if you go in there.|Unless you get a room on the solitary business floor there is NO AIR CONDITIONING. This is a major problem in summer and can render the hotel unusable so I usually find a hotel further out. The windows can be opened wide but because the aforementioned bar is full of smokers, you will find that your room quickly smells of cigarettes even when you are 5 floors up.|You only get one towel for hands and one for bathing. Not a huge issue, but like most hotels they encourage you not to replace them without giving you and effective way of drying them! So if you want to shower morning and night this can...

I have never heard about relaxa hotel before but given the high rating on booking I decided to give it a try. The rate in booking was lower than the one I was told on the phone when I called the hotel . The room was spacious and very clean . The bed mattress hard as I like and very comfortable duvet. Bathroom was clean and functional. Safe and refrigerator was also in the room as well as a hair dryer . The breakfast was the most amazing part. It had a lot of variety and the atmosphere of the dining room was gorgeous . All in all a very good choice . The parking is not free and costs 16 eur per day . You may find outdoor parking but I couldn’t find any. There was public transportation in walking distance but I didn’t take it . You can easily leave your car and take the tramway to go to city center . Google said it should be a 30 min ride with U2 but I couldn’t verify this. All in all a very good experience for someone who doesn’t want to stay in very center...
