Quality Hotel Lippstadt — Hotel in Lippstadt

A great hotel. Special to us as this is what we needed after staying in a so called four star hotel in Aachen . We were at Europe Platz Mercury motor Inn and it was so bad. This place is so relaxing and great to bring the one you love to. We had the evening meal served to us by very friendly and experience waiters. Of course it is expensive but worth it when one gets what one should get. Breakfast in this lovely dining room was very well laid out. If you ever follow my comments you will see I have a good moan at things that is wrong.. So here it comes. (: The only grumble I have is my room is over a SMOKING Zone. Hotels as great as this should ask people to walk a little away from the hotel. I hate uncaring smokers. O dear, the second evening for our meal did not go well. New waiters and the food was so badly cooked I then new it was not the same cook as the first evening. We could not eat the half cooked food . The duck was so red raw and tough. The waiters were not interested in all this and even though we only ate a little we paid the full price. Anyway a lovely hotel and you will enjoy...

A great, exceptionally clean hotel with kind staff, good wifi connection, uniquely placed on an island surrounded by the river Lippe. It is within a walking distance from the heart of Lippstadt, has a nice view of the river, the rooms are very accommodating, with a kettle in every room, complimentary water, tea and snacks, a safe to keep your belongings and an ironing board and an iron are available on request. Having stayed here for work, I am partially subjective in my grade as for 5 stars the rooms do lack air conditioning, a mini fridge and the hotel could greatly benefit from having a gym. However, hot weather in Lippstadt happens as often as rain in Dubai and the rest is easily compensated by the friendly staff and the fact the hotel has a river bank right next to it that is ideal for jogging. The food is good (if you don't mind German food generally, if you do there are many restaurants really close) and the beds and showers in the rooms are excellent to get a good rest. I highly recommend this hotel as well as booking rooms ahead of time seeing how it is...

Update: the response from the hotel is the perfect example of the poor level of service you can expect, and confirms exactly why they are due 1 star. They state again I am wrong, when I have screenshots of my booking confirmation which clearly prove otherwise. Perhaps instead of making accusations about the accuracy of my assertion they could fix the issue for future customers. I would love to include the screenshot here but it will likely be removed. Original review: I found that the rooms were listed incorrectly and didn’t have the features specified on the listing. The hotel staff were dismissive and did not resolve the issue, despite having other rooms available that did match what I booked. So make sure to double check you are getting what is advertised...
