Hotel KOCKS am mühlenberg — Hotel in Mülheim an der Ruhr

This is a nice hotel situated in a lovely building by the river. It is an easy walk across the river into the town and it is by a tram station. The staff are exceptional, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was nice, with a good choice of cereal, fruit, cold meats and cheese, eggs, sausage and bacon etc.||The rooms are large with comfy beds and a good sized bathroom, our room had a shower, no bath. There is no kettle in the room. Wifi is free but there was not a great signal in our room.||I’ ve only given it 4 stars as the stay was let down by a couple of small but irritating issues - I think that the managers/owners of hotels should sleep in each room and then these snags would surely be sorted out.|Our room (411) was above the breakfast room. The breakfast room which is connected to the kitchen by a swing door. A swing door that thuds every time the staff go between the two from 630am and makes room 411 gently reverberate as the door underneath swings too and fro…..Room 410 is probably as bad as it must be above the kitchen.|What is the point of having a ‘do not disturb’ button by the door if it then lights up with a red light in the room and means the room can...

We stayed at hotel kocks because my husband was on a temporary work assignment for Siemens. The location was fabulous for him as it was a 5min drive.||||The hotel was fabulous for me (I was not working) for the following reasons:||||-LOCATION: Right by the river allowed for beautiful runs and walks. Also within a 5 min stroll to many restaurants, trams, and train station. 10 min stroll to the old town with more restaurants||-SERVICE: Claudia was the best service industry employee We have come across. She was always so happy and genuine. Extremely helpful and tons of great suggestions for us to make the most of our stay in mulheim. She is passionate of what she does and you truly experience her joy and love for the hotel and city. Maria was also extremely kind and helpful. Both went above and beyond. All other employees were kind, smiling, and did their work extremely well.||-FOOD: breakfast buffet is delicious.||||The only down side was that there were only 2 English...

As a start , if there were more than five stars available , i would give it to them, there is no measure to quantify our experience at hotel kocks. ||I was a business traveller from India who was later joined by my wife and a 2 year old kid who was approaching his 3 birthday.||The staff and I do mean each and everyone of them ,including the head gave us a delightful experience at hotel Kocks, they celebrated my sons 3rd birthday giving us a very personal touch , my wife and child were well taken care off, the staff and the head in charge helped us in everything ,from visiting places, german tea,breakfast and the list never ever ends.||To end it all , we are back in India and my son wakes up expecting to see the head in charge . I hope this testimony is a compelling enough to convince others to enjoy this unforgettable experience.||Overall my stay at the hotel has engraved an everlasting memory of the German Experience||Vielen Dank ...
