I really wasn't expecting much but booked this hotel because it was close to where I was working for the week. From the moment I walked in though, I knew this was going to be good: The receptionist was great fun, spoke excellent English (as opposed to my terrible German) was a mine of good information and could clearly read my mind when she recommended Schillers as a place to eat! The room was far bigger than I expected as there were only single left when I booked but the bed was a good size - sort of half way between a single and a double. The room boasted a kitchenette and microwave (not that I used them), plenty of space for clothes, comfortable sitting, a balcony and decent shower. Whilst clearly not brand new, the Forum is scrupulously clean and everything worked well. I was particularly happy to be able to leave my bedroom window open all night and not be disturbed.||Breakfast was simple but provided all I needed and more. Again, the staff were lovely.||I've had a great week working in Munich and would love to come back. If I do then the Forum will be my...
Read moreI really loved this place!!!! The room is very spacious and has a lovely balcony. Omg the shower was so good!!!! Couldn't be any more convenient for the railway (if you go to the stairs at the end of the platform it takes you straight into the complex that the hotel is in) and there are plenty of shops/eateries both inside/outside in the vicinity and a huge supermarket across the road. Didn't deal with the staff a lot because we arrived/departed outwit opening hours. I also really loved that you can get your room cleaned without asking just by turning the do not disturb sign round to the other side. The only small downside was that (this is weather dependent i.e there's a thunder storm and it's still roasting/it's windy) the mesh curtain doesn't cope well with the draft created and can come off. The building also has washing machines in the basement which is a great bonus, for use you will have to ask for tokens from...
Read moreMarvellous apartment with as many amenities as one could ask for. Part of a larger complex, with a bistro/bar at its centre. There are also shops, including a vape store, general store and small market, several eateries, including a Japanese restaurant, Chinese takeaway, pizza place (highly recommended) and bakeries. A supermarket is located a short ten minute walk from here for everything else. The railway station is ten seconds from the front door and has a roughly ten minute interval service to the town centre. This being an S Bahn means you can travel directly to the attractions at Marienplatz. Cannot recommend enough. The room was well appointed and spacious with a generously proportioned bathroom en suite. Bed was comfortable and the windows offered a nice breeze on the hottest day, 36 degrees, keeping us...
