We stayed 4 nights (3 persons) in what I believe was a "Superior Suite" in the main building (room 703) and it was very nice and spacious. |Having read the other reviews I was a little afraid of what I was going to find, but although it wasn't very luxurious it was quite comfortable. It has some space for improvement but it is a place where we would stay again (if we get the same room;)). |The bathroom was a good size and it had a window so we didn't have to switch on the light and have the loud sound of the fan that switches on together. |Not good: the hair dryer in the bathroom is very old, water pressure in the shower very weak, toilet paper of bad quality and towels very small an thin. |In the bedroom the mattress was a little bit hard and doesn't have a mattress protector or any type of cover, which is not very hygienic also because the bed sheets are very short and thin (they come out very easily and suddenly you are on the top of the mattress); the pillows were also awful- very thin and irregular. |Although things were in good condition the sofa in the bedroom was all stained which was disgusting- the hotel could have it cleaned and it would be much nicer. The daily cleaning could also vacuum clean better the carpet. |Breakfast was simple, no pastries just bread, eggs (scrambled eggs were awful), cheese, ham, coffee, tea, the normal things. The coffee wasn't good (maybe the hotel could add a coffee machine that has cappuccinos and all type of coffees :)). I tried their homemade strawberry jam and it was amazing. The staff was all very nice. The evening buffet was good. |Another thing that could be improved is the offer of soft drinks, the ones from the machine tasted awful and were of bad quality. |This hotel could easily become a lot better and my punctuation is worse not because of the room itself but because of the other things I have pointed out (mainly not having a mattress protector, small bedsheets, pillows and...

We booked this hotel last minute and it was a pretty good value, which included the room and breakfast, and if you wanted to include the buffet dinner it was an extra 15€ per person. Upon arriving we did have some trouble finding a parking spot but this is due to winter weather, snow, and possible other hotel guest parking in the spots as well, it's all expected in these small town ski areas. The room was clean and simple with most of the basics. There was a small minibar but no in room kettle or coffee, as the bathroom toiletries only consist of generic 'soap' for everything, no shampoo or condition, or separate hand soaps. The breakfast was pretty good and they had a good selection of things to eat so everyone will find something. The breakfast includes fresh local jams and honey (which can be purchased too). They also give a free welcome drink in the bar along with a talk about the area (only in German). We did try out the sauna area and it's nicely done but the relaxing beds look nice but are not comfortable at all. We couldn't lie on them for more then 5 mins, so that's not very relaxing. The sauna are nice but seemed at odd temperatures, one was very warm the other wasn't warm enough and the steam sauna could have been warmer too. Could be that someone just didn't set them correctly. As noted the hotel is in two different buildings, we were housed in the main house with the reception and the spa area. We did not see inside the other building at all. As for skiing, the hotel is a quick walk down to the lifts, not far at all. If you are renting equipment you can do that right at the hill and even leave it there each day and just pick them up so no need to bring it all back...

Wir hatten uns entschlossen einen Kurzurlaub in Oberwiesenthal im Rathaus Hotel zu verbringen.|4 Tage pure Erholung mit all inclusive Angebot ||Bei der Ankunft wusste man aufgrund des Gesichtsausdrucks der Rezeptionistin wie herzlich willkommen man ist.|Als wir unser Zimmer sahen, so klein und eng, nach Chlor stinkend, und dann auch noch fragten ob wir ein anderes Zimmer bekommen können, haben wir der Dame endgültig die Stimmung vermiest.|Was sie dabei völlig übersah, sie hat unsere Stimmung auch vermiest und wir waren gekommen uns zu erholen.||Es gibt einen begrenzten Parkplatz am Hotel, ist hier nichts frei muss man zum öffentlichen Parkplatz, ein guter Fußweg den Berg rauf. ||Jeden Nachmittag gibt es mittelmäßige Kuchen und Kaffee aus einem Vollautomaten. Wir haben drauf verzichtet.||Der Knaller waren dann aber die allabendlichen Themen Büfetts.|Am ersten Abend Schweinebraten mit Kraut und komischen Mini Knödeln.|Dazu eine lieblos aufeinander geknallte Käseplatte.|Die Salate waren Ok, wobei der Kartoffelsalat sehr nach Fertigeimer schmeckte. |Kein Fisch, kein Gemüse, keine Farben……. Alles lieblos. Irgendwie lieblose, übriggebliebene Massenabfertigung. Einfach billig|Die Reste des Büfett gab es dann am nächsten Tag mittags.|Das Fleisch wie eine Schuhsohle und langweilige Kartoffelecken dazu.|Der Küche fehlt gänzlich die Leidenschaft oder die Fachlichkeit.||Das italienische Büfett am nächsten Tag war nicht besser.|Lasagne wie aus den 70‘ern, furchtbare Gnoccis, Pizza Milanese…….. und Pizza wie sie meine Oma gemacht hat.|Wenn man Italien hört erwartet man Mozzarella , Antipasti, Tiramisu, Parmesan, Spaghetti , frohe Farben und eine italienische Freude beim Essen.|War euer Koch schon einmal in Italien??||Getränke bringt der Service nicht, er würde auch nicht verstehen was man möchte.|Also muss man sich jedesmal für Bier und Wein an der Bar anstellen.|Dort wird dann von einem unfreundlichen Barkeeper eine dermaßene Bierbrühe gezapft, die man das nicht trinken möchte. Alternativen, wie ein schönes Schwarzbier aus Sachsen gibt es gar nicht.|Alternative ist die Getränke Zapfanlage nebenan, dort bekommt man Säfte die eklig und süß sind. Einfach widerlich.||Ich bin geschäftlich viel auf Reisen und kenne viele Hotels mit Büfett am Abend. Hier mag es auch unterschiedliche Qualitäten geben, aber das Rathaus Hotel untertrifft wirklich alles Bisherige.||Wir haben uns entschlossen jeden Abend essen zu gehen, gut bedient zu werden und den Abend woanders zu genießen.|Sehr empfehlenswert ist übrigens quer über den Platz die „Kiwis Bar „|Die wissen wie moderne Gastronomie geht.||Das Frühstücksbüffet war Ok, aber auch hier alles lieblos und von eher durchschnittlicher Qualität. Die Rühreier eine zusammen gemanschte Pampe, Melonen Stücke die nur noch Matsche sind, weil vom Vortag übrig.|Ich habe nach Süßstoff gefragt, eine Herausforderung welche nicht zu meistern war. Sie haben einfach nicht verstanden was ich möchte weil sie kein deutsch verstehen und ich kein tschechisch spreche.|Wirklich gut waren die Semmeln und das Brot, aber hier gibt es kein Körbchen um das irgendwie an den Tisch zu tragen.|Gut waren auch die Salate, Lachs und frische Tomaten und ein Obstkorb.|Am schlimmsten waren aber die Kleinen Brühwürste in einem Warmhalter.|Das ist einfach Massenabfertigung.||Das Zimmer welches wir mit Widerwillen der Rezeption bekommen haben war schön, sauber und gute Betten.|Aber im Hotel riecht es streng nach Chlor. Die Erklärung der Rezeption: wenn es regnet riecht es halt!! |Es regnete leider jeden Tag.||Sauna und Wellnessbereich war völlig ok, saubere Handtücher, 2 Saunen und 1 Dampfbad. Ein Ruheraum, dort konnte man sehr schön entspannen.||Beim bezahlen und am Tag der Abreise kein nettes Wort, keine Frage ob man sich wohlgefühlt hat, es ist einfach egal.||Alles in allem:|Zimmer waren Ok|Wellnessbereich war gut.|Kulinarisch, Essen und Trinken völlig veraltete Konzepte |Personal weit weg von herzlich, man wird abgearbeitet ||Das ganze Paket passt nicht|Da gibt es unzählige bessere Hotels zum gleichen Preis |Wir würden nie mehr...
