Hotel Krone Freudenstadt / Arkadenhotel — Hotel in Vereinbarte Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Freudenstadt

The staff were incredibly rude and inconsiderate. First off we arrived 30 mins after their strict 8pm cutoff for checking in and there was nobody to let us in or no number with someone who speaks English to help. I was only able to get in due to another guest letting me in. In the morning, rather than being apologetic, the owner just asked me ‘how were you able to get in last night?’ As if I had done something wrong through not wanting to sleep on the street. Then the next morning I was doing a business call outside my room 30 minutes after the checkout time and the owner came and told me I needed ‘to pay and get out’. Then 30 mins later I was preparing for another call and I was told ‘we are closing the hotel get out’. I have never experienced this in a hotel before. Zero effort to make us feel welcome or be understanding about our requirements....

We stayed at the Krone Hotel whilst spending a few days in Freudenstadt during our recent trip and found the hotel to be in a perfect location for what we wanted to do. 10 minute walk from the station and located on the perimeter of the town square. |Can get a bit if road noise if staying in front facing rooms, but then, that is to be expected and not the fault of the hotel.||The owners where very friendly and helpful, even giving us tips on where to visit when we were leaving to travel down to Lake Konstanze. ||Rooms were fine and clean and breakfast was plentiful with a good selection.|| Would certainly stay again if ever back in...

After visiting this hotel, we got two impressions. The interior of our room was old but clean. We had a good breakfast, but with totally unfriendly behaviour from the woman, which worked in the restaurant. The same with the housekeeping..., they encapsulates only two main things- turning off the heating in the cold room and taking out the rubbish. Why is there no "do not disturb" sign? The best was the Wi-Fi, after non using the WiFi instalation, it force you to do a new log in, again and again.. After these expressions, only one statement......
