Emporios Bay Hotel — Hotel in Chios Municipality

Yesterday we sadly had to leave Emporios Bay Hotel after a wonderful 9 night stay. From the moment we arrived until it was time to leave the Kampas family made us feel very welcome & couldn’t do enough for us. We had a one bedroom apartment on the top floor with a partial sea view from a spacious balcony. Well equipped to prepare light meals. A great shower & always hot water. The housekeeping team kept it spotlessly clean. There was a refreshing pool with sunbeds available at any time of day & a bar for drinks by the pool or on the terrace. Lovely breakfast provided to suit all tastes. You can walk to the famous black stone volcanic beach of Mavra Volia in 10 minutes, unorganised so take a beach umbrella or find shade under a tree at the back of the beach. One small cabin selling drinks & light snacks. Taxi to Komi beach, very long, sand & pebble & organised was €10 each way.||Emporios bay is small with 5 tavernas & one tiny shop but it is a great base to explore the island. Car hire is essential. The roads are good & free parking was available everywhere we went. We visited the 3 famous mastic villages of Pyrgi, Olympi & Mesta. Nea Moni, a monastery up in the hills, Chios Town & Komi beach a few times. I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Emporeios Bay Hotel in Chios, Greece. It was an exceptional experience. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s a family-run establishment, which adds a personal touch to the hospitality.

We had planned to stay in Chios just for two days, but when we discovered the splendid hospitality of the Kampas family and their little paradise we decided to prolong our stay.||Everything in the premises is well kept, with an obvious attention to the details, to cleaningness, and to order. Good, practical, no nonsense indoor/outdoor spaces , all well maintained.||Their friendly willingness to respond to our needs and wishes was impressive.||The attractive 'small' features are numerous: rich breakfast, plenty of parking space, refreshing swimming pool, soft music, quiet surroundings, various corners to relax in, wifi available everywhere.||We had been there back in Easter 2014. Now everything seemed newer than then! Probably because the entire family has been devoted to upgrading their place as a prime accommodation facility.
