We had the opportunity to enjoy three dinners in this pleasant, family ran typically Greek tavern. An excellent selection of fish delicacies on the menu as well as a selection of drinks, friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere guarantee a great atmosphere and good mood. We strongly recommend everyone who comes to Emporios (or Chios) to visit this tavern. If you are looking for an authentic Greek dish, this traditional tavern is the best place in the small village Emporios! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the incredible food. The menu is full of a variety of delicious, homemade dishes that evoke the essence of Greek cuisine - every bite is a taste of tradition and quality. We enjoyed in tasteful Greek salad, Fresh fish recommended by the owners, Seafood Orzo, Octopus in Vinegar, Tzatziki, Fava, special prepared hamsi fish as well as the orange pie.
The service is exceptional, with friendly staff who are happy to walk you through the menu and make recommendations on the spot. Their passion for the food they serve is obvious, and they strive to provide you with an unforgettable dining experience.
This hidden gem will reward you with the tastiest food and warmest hospitality you can imagine. Don't miss this unique culinary experience - it's a real treasure for any food lover! We really enjoyed and hope that we...

The seafood orzo can feed 2-3 people and was prepared well. Tarama salad had no fish roe in it but tasted ok. The fried calamari was fried in an overused frying oil giving them a bitter taste we could not eat much shared them with cats. What I am troubled was the waiter asked me to present my card to a cellular phone and then asked me to enter my passcode which I refused. Furthermore, the male waiter asked for a tip openly despite no other establishment expects tip in...
Read moreWe stayed in Emporios Bay Hotel 8 nights in September, 2024. Karagiorgis is one of the 5 tavernas near our hotel. We also tried other ones but Karagiorgis was favourite. We had our dinner most of the nights here. Fresh fishes, seafoods, salads, mastello and saganaki cheese, kebab and schrimp pasta were our favourite ones. Prices are normal for the island (but cheaper when we compared with Turkey), foods are very delicious and portions are so big. You need to order by considering this! Also thank you Liana for being so friendly and sweet. I hope we...
