Volcano Emporeios — Restaurant in Chios Municipality

Yesterday evening we visited the Volcano tavern. The price is higher than in other taverns, but even this did not leave an unpleasant aftertaste, the lies of the tavern staff. Before ordering the tsipura fish, we asked how much a kg cost and the answer was 30 €, but when we received the bill, it was stated that 510 grams cost 30 €. When we asked why, the answer was that a kg of fish costs 60 €. The fish was also dry and had no taste, as well as the octopus, a lot of vinegar. He said "welcome" from heart with a lovely smile as we passed by Volcano Restaurant in the deserted, mid day hot of Emporios, and we immediately felt that we were in the right place. Niko hugs you with his sincerity, thanks to his wonderful recommendations, we tasted delicious Greek dishes, he made us feel at home. This place served me some of the best food that I’ve had in 20 years. The owner was so kind and hospitable. I could tell that a lot of passion and love goes into this restaurant. The owner speaks Greek, English, German, as well as a little French and Spanish so it was easy to communicate. There is a great view of the water and the surrounding landscapes as well.
