Golden Residence Family Resort — Hotel in Kassandra Municipality

This is probably the best holiday experience I have had in a long while. If you are looking for a place to spend some quality summer time with your family then I highly recommend it. Location is convenient and really close to the beach. You are within walking distance between Pefkochori and Hanioti which are both packed with taverns, beach bars and shops. You can also find awesome beaches within driving distance. The hotel itself is build and managed as a family resort. The two pools, for adults and kids, are always clean and they are the perfect place to spend the afternoon when not in the mood to go to the beach. Rooms with sea view are really great and can acccommodate easily a family with two children or more. It is worth paying a little extra for the sea view. Breakfast was good and always had plenty of healthy choices but I was pleasantly surprised by the dinner that was offered. Food was traditional greek cuisine and was home cooked. Also, it was different almost every time and the kids always had something to choose from. The dinner price was unbeatable since we paid 150 euros for 8 nights for the entire family. The owner, Stefanos, and the staff were very polite and always tried to make us feel like home. Will definitely go there again and recommend Golden Residence for friends with children...

Summer 2022. My parents booked this room for their vacations. First things first my parents asked for a ground floor room because of some moving difficulties, but instead the person responsible for the reservations gave them a 1st floor room. When my parents complained about that, the personel gave them a ground floor room with NO PRICE CHANGE!!! They said that the rooms had the same price but there were clearly differences in the 2 rooms making the room that my parents actually stayed worse and therefore cheaper. In addition as you can see in the pictures the room was in a very bad condition, The walls in the bathroom were falling down on us and the furniture in the bathroom was ruined by the humidity. Another very disappointing thing was the parking. While the resort offered free parking it was a wild experience. The resort offered cards with the room number you are staying and you had to put that on the dashboard of your car because the way the parking area was laid out you might get called any hour of the day to move your car so that another car can get out. Lastly the mater of hygiene. The guy at te pool bar was putting the ice cubes in the coffee with his bare hands and he was licking the milk that was leaking from the shaker. Especially that last one...

I explained rooms and food separately, please read. Other than that, studios behind restaurant are 5m from regional road and it’s very loud whole night. Ask for other studio if you’re sensitive to that.

Roofs are tiny and it’s pretty hot inside, so airconditioner is mandatory after 12 and before sleeping.

Cleaning rooms and emptying trash bin is every 3 days, which is not good.

Beach is excellent and free, about 70m away. You can use Cyano beach bar 30m from there. Water is warm in july, very clean and calm, no jellyfish. This is important: first 3m are clean, then comes 3m of flat slippery stones (not a big problem), than big stones with few sea urchins you have to swim over and then a perfect sandy floor about 2.5m deep. All of us (6 adults and 5 kids) concluded this is excellent beach anyway and we’ve spent 7 days here.
