Usually, when everything is perfect, writing a review isn't the most important task. BUT since we always rely on reviews for our own trips we wanted to share how incredible our stay at this villa in Lefkada was!
After 6 years of annual visits staying on Lefkada’s east coast, this villa completely changed our perspective—the west coast is now our clear favorite! The views here are genuinely breathtaking, feeling as if the sea is right at your feet.
The sunsets from the villa - simply stunning! We’ve honestly never experienced sunsets quite like these, with the red sun perfectly disappearing into the sea each evening. Check the photos!
• The villa itself is spacious, cozy, and had everything we could ask for. We hardly went to restaurants because grilling and relaxing on the terrace at sunset became our favorite activity.
• Falling asleep each night listening to the waves was pure bliss.
• The island’s biggest and most popular beach (Kathisma) is just a quick 2-minute drive away.
• Privacy was excellent, too. There’s an identical villa nearby, but they're designed cleverly, providing plenty of privacy.
• The booking process was very easy, and our communication with the owner Matt went smoothly from beginning to end. Mariusz, who greeted us at the villa, was readily available and very helpful throughout our stay.
Some little things we particularly loved:
• The outdoor lighting—soft, warm, and so tastefully done. • The view from the master bedroom was out of this world. • The amazing pool.
PS: we were a bit worried about the road because of a previous review, but it turned out to be nothing. Just a short, easy 50-meter stretch of unpaved road—absolutely fine for ANY type car.
From our extensive experience as guests in premium Lefkada villas, we highly recommend investing in yourself with this really therapeutic...
Read moreWonderful stay at Kathisma Bay Villas (Helios). Matt the owner and Mariusz the property manager were super right the way through from booking to staying. The location of the villa is remarkable. 2 minutes drive to gorgeous beach (of which you have a wonderful view from the villa) where there are sunbeds a plenty and lots of food and drink options from the bars/deck restaurants along the beach. It can get quite busy as far as parking is concerned but we visited the beach 3 times and always found a space. We used Libre Bar sunbeds as a base and the lads there looked after us really well. The villa itself was superb. The views amazing and the pool and decking and outside sitting areas wonderful. The villa felt brand new, was very clean and tidy, beds comfy, and the aircon very efficient (it hit 40 one day!). The nearest village Agios Nikitas was 5 minutes drive away, set in a small bay, with loads and loads of character. A Supermarket is just outside the entrance to the pedestrianised road leading down to the sea front which had all we needed - fresh fruit and veg, meat, provisions etc. As the village is pedestrianised, we had to park on the main coast road, sometimes a few hundred metres away from the entrance to the village but so did everyone else no drama there! What was noticiable with the beach and the village was that it was mainly Greek locals and visitors - we loved this as it meant we had a really authentic experience with lots of Greek culture and personality!! I would highly recommend Matt's villa - our holiday is up there as one of the best...
Read moreThe location and view from the villas is just incredible. Every night the sunset is simply breathtaking. It's a 3 minute drive down to gorgeous beach and a 4 minute drive to a village with all the amenities you could need, great restaurants plus another lovely beach. The locals were all very friendly and relaxed, the local food was delicious.
The villa itself is really spacious with sliding doors so the outside space connects fluidly to inside, we ate all our meals outside under the shade. Lots of sunbeds, bean bags, sofa and coffee table so plenty of spaces to enjoy outside. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking with a coffee machine as a bonus.
The pool had a lockable gate so felt very safe with our 2 children, everywhere had a glass fence to keep them away from any edges but not spoil the view. Knowing we had children they provided a cot, high chair, stair gate and children's cutlery which was very useful. The pool is heated which made a big difference too as we traveled in April, even our 10 month old was warm enough to swim.
The owner Matt waited to greet us despite knowing we wouldn't arrive until 11pm. He showed us round, gave us some suggestions for where to go and came over to help us when we had a question. He was easy to contact and quick to respond. On our last day he let us check out late as we had an evening flight which was very helpful.
We would love to go again, best...
