PHILLIPOS Studios — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

We recently spent two weeks staying at this lovely hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by a smiling George who made us feel very welcome. He then gave us 2 bottles of water, which was a nice gesture. We then followed him to our room, which was on the top floor above the main hotel. The room had a vary large balcony with views to the mountains and a side view to the sea. George explained everything in the apartment including how to use the use the air con. Which was a godsend due to the hot weather when we arrived. |The local beach is only less than 10 minutes away. Sun beds with umbrella is 10 euros with snack and drinks cabin on the beach. There was another bar close by with large grounds, but its now closed down. The walk to the tavernos is a good 15 minute away. This is along a busy road with no footpath and you have to be alert to the oncoming traffic. There are various tavernos to eat , are favourites were the Apico Cafe and the Pantazis Tavern They all served good meals with a large choice of menus at reasonable prices. Exceptionally comfortable, clean and welcoming apartment complex in excellent location. On arrival met by the host Giannis who was simply great. Very welcoming and provides you with all necessary information. The apartment complex is small & friendly with a super pool and bar. The entire place is immaculate. The apartment booked is on the 1st floor as low rise building. It is an excellent apartment, very well furnished with comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with walk in rainfall shower, kitchen area with fridge and a good sized balcony with beautiful Mountain views. Air conditioning is also very efficient and effective. Nice touch such as bottles of water in fridge, coffee, sugar, tea, honey and toast on arrival. The pool area beautiful and very well maintained along with ample sun beds and parasols. There is separate shower and toilets for use. The pool bar offers a variety of good drinks and snacks. Car parking is available too. As for location it is to the south of main Nydri resort just off the main strip set in a very peaceful location. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach, supermarket, tavernas, marina and bakers. The promenade is easy access from man strip and minutes walk from Apartment. There are nicer places on the island than Nidri. The location isn't exactly strategic for seeing the most beautiful beaches. I would strongly advise against this place during peak season. Pros: Good Wi-Fi. The complex is clean and fairly new. Modern furnishings. The apartment is small, but the balcony is good. Cons: An extra hotplate would be very welcome. Minimal kitchen equipment.
