Semiramis Lefkada — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

This was a pleasant suprise. A very good hotel for its 2 star clasiffication. Better than many others 3 stars. Hotel is very quiet and cozy. The family staff that runs the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned every day. Towels changed also everyday. ||Room cleaning was flawless. Large rooms, air conditioner and fridge included in the price. I advise the rooms with sea view. As a minus the TVs are outdated and free Wi-Fi signal coverage in the rooms was poor.||Swimming pool is very nice and clean. pool depth of 3m allows jumps.||Breakfast is good quality buffet. Not too many options as in a 4 star hotel but OK.||Location of the hotel is very high almost on top of the Lefkada mountain, but the landscape is great. Sea view and Lefkada town down creates a very fine view.||Disadvantage is that is little far from the sea shore. around 40 min walking therefore the car is mandatory.||Parking area is offered also free of charge on the hotel property.||Kathisma beach is 10 Km away, also the Lefkada town(Lefkas 4 km distance) so not too far.||Basically here I combined both mountain and sea in one week vacation. We stayed at the hotel for two nights. Pros: Great pool and beautiful view, plus plenty of organized shaded parking. It's important to know that the hotel is a few minutes away from the city and is located higher up on the mountain. This didn't bother us and we actually liked the secluded location. The staff was very nice The room was clean. We had a high-floor room with a private balcony and a view of the sea and the pool.

The main issue the air conditioning, which didn't work at all. In this heat, it was impossible to stay in the room. When we complained, we were told the AC was fine and that someone would come to check it. No one came, and the heat was unbearable, so we opened the AC unit ourselves and saw that the filters were in terrible condition! The AC was poorly maintained for the hot summer. We had to clean the filter ourselves and hoped it would help cool the room. It helped a little, but the room was still very hot. Additionally, the Wi-Fi was very slow and frequently disconnected. Lovely hotel in the hills overlooking the town of Lefkada. We paid a little extra for a room with a sea view and it certainly didn't disappoint. The pool is a good size and very clean. The bar area is exceptional with a variety of seating including swinging rope chairs, sofas, bar stools, and a swinging bench. There are lots of lovely trees creating natural shade and the whole grounds are exceptionally maintained. The breakfast was varied with a mix of hot and cold, local food including pastries, cakes, and traditional Greek breakfast. The best thing about this place is the kind and helpful staff. If we needed anything they were more than happy to help and created a very relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. The views of the town and sea are unrivalled, in my opinion. I don't usually like going back to the same hotel but I would happily go back to Semiramis for another holiday...
