We highly recommend staying at Notos Apartments in Triopetra.

Located at a point where jagged mountains gently descend into the sea, Notos comes with a view second to none. The area is serene, contemplative, and each night moonlight takes a bath among the waves. It is certainly worth staying up past midnight here. Triopetra is the very best Crete can offer.

The owner is extremely helpful, not only with your needs regarding your holiday activities, but also with any kind of emergency that might arise – including securing an unscheduled visit to the dentist! He is highly communicative, caring, and knows how to make guests feel at home.

The apartments face the sea and all have AC units. The direction they're facing means they don't get too much heat and are pleasantly cool throughout the day. The bathrooms are cosy and clean.

There are two major beaches nearby with lots of noteworthy tavernas. The owner is always happy to guide you towards the best ones.

Heads up - bring your own soap and shampoo for the shower (and coffee/tea) because these things are not provided and the nearest mini market is a 15-20 min drive. Beautiful, quiet place atop a hill with a nice view of the sea. It’s very peaceful and a five minute drive to Triopetra beach where there are tavernas to eat. The people here are kind. If you like a very firm mattress, you will love the beds here. If you need something with a bit of cushion, you may be waking up with body aches. A bit more attention to the cleaning would be great. A very beautiful place. 2min drive from the wonderful triopetra beach. Tha apartments are super comfy and clean w/ AC, hot water and wifi. A nice place to come a stay.
