Karaoulanis Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Andros

These are fantastic apartments on a wonderful island. Infact, we like the place, and the apartments, so much we've been coming back for more than 11 years. The apartments are of a really high standard - spacious, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated, with pleasant outdoor terraces. There is good wi-if, comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, lots of hot water, a well equipped kitchen. They are situated in a quiet residential area, a pleasant 10 minute walk from the lively and picturesque centre of Chora, and 15 mins away from a choice of two lovely beaches. From the apartments you look out on a beautiful, peaceful valley with an ancient monastery and pretty villages perched high up in the surrounding mountains. Andros has a fantastic network of hiking paths, many of which start from Chora. It's still a relatively undeveloped island and very rewarding to explore. Yannis and Caroline and their two daughters live on the floor above, and are welcoming, friendly hosts, speaking excellent English and French. These are great apartments, right in the heart of the picturesque old town of Chora. The apartments are of a really high standard - spacious, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. They have good wi-if, comfortable beds, plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space, lots of hot water, a well equipped kitchen. You are just a few minutes away from Nimborio beach, a great place to swim, with cafes and tavernas lining the beach. Steep staircases take you up into the attractive central square, where you can sit and people watch, taking in the everyday life of a small Greek town. Andros has a fantastic network of old footpaths, several of which start very close to these apartments. It's really worth exploring. There is lots of useful information in the apartment, and Yannis and Caroline, or Yanni's mother, who lives above the apartments, are very friendly, helpful hosts. We stayed at Karaoulanis Apartments 2 weeks in August and had a wonderful experience. |We rented TziTzikas apartment, which is a lovely studio with a tiny but perfect bathroom, a nice living room / bedroom area and a small storage area, good for luggage. |The place looks brand new, it is immaculately kept. Cleaning happens daily and the staff is extremely kind and careful to details. |The owners are nice, they gave us plenty if information and let us do the laundry in their wash machine. |Karaoulanis Apartments are on a small road less than 5 minutes walking to the Main Street, where most restaurants and bars are; it has plenty of parking place on the road to the front and side of the building. |The same owners have another structure with rooms, on a building facing a small square on the water in front of Neimporio Beach. |I suggest everyone to stay at these apartments because it is a very good base to enjoy Chora, perfectly clean, very beautiful, calm both at day and night. |We had a wonderful time, thanks to...
