A Mixed Stay with Highs and Lows Our recent stay had both its bright spots and some definite letdowns. On the plus side, the room was spotless, and we really appreciated the adults-only policy (12+ years). It was wonderful to have the peace and quiet we were looking for on vacation without the sounds of young children.
The Downside Unfortunately, the lack of a decent view was a major disappointment. It's a shame that only three of the ten rooms have a sea view. Our room faced a wall from the neighboring building, and the balcony was small and quite cramped.
The room's amenities were also a letdown. The mini-fridge was completely inadequate; it didn't cool properly and lacked a freezer, so we had to ask the nearby tavern to freeze our ice packs. With no kitchenette or stove, cooking was impossible, which drove up the cost of our trip since we had to eat out all the time. To make matters worse, breakfast isn't included, and even a simple coffee was more expensive here than down at the port ($3.75 vs. $2.50). The room also didn't have window screens, which was a hassle.
While the location is technically beachfront, getting to the water is a real challenge due to the large, rocky shoreline. And having to pay an additional $20 for a set of sunbeds and an umbrella felt like a rip-off, especially when so many places offer them for free.
Ultimately, the value for money was poor. The starting price of €120 a night is far too high for what you get, especially for September. Even after we managed to negotiate it down to €90, the hidden costs of constantly eating and drinking out made the total cost of our stay excessive.
Our Verdict We wouldn't recommend this place. There are definitely better options to be...

Read moreThis little hotel is run by a very kind and decent family. The rooms are basic but clean. The air condition works perfectly and the shower was very powerful. They provide shower gel and there’s a little hairdryer. You have the use of the beach beds on a small strip of the beach just out front. We swam every day. The hotel is midway between Skala and Megalochori. We had beautiful walks along the beach. The owner was extremely helpful in arranging the PCR test for us atAegina. There’s a short little boat trip across and there are two places that provide such tests. We enjoyed our stay at Laza Beach. The breakfast is plentiful and freshly made each day. This is not a luxurious establishment but it is a really lovely place to stay. The beds are a bit firm but we slept soundly...
