I had the pleasure to stay behind the restaurant in the suites. Used the beach in front. It's not sandy and flat rocks so beach shoes are advised. The water and view from the restaurant are spectacular. I had a light lunch of Greek salad with very fresh traditional ingredients and a generous portion of feta cheese and olive oil. Be aware in Greece most places don't use vinegar so you need to ask for it. They put some delicious capers on top for a delightful accompaniment. I had a side of Skordiala which is a spicy whipped potato and garlic dip with some tasty honestly baguette style bread. The cold Mythos beer tasted awesome with it. The male waiters were extremely attentive and polite. Although doing quality checks doesn't seem to be the norm in Greece the server was quick to respond to a frivolous complaint beside me. The tourist didn't understand the traditional way of cooking fish. She was obstinate. Nonetheless the waiter apologized and immediately offered to change it (something you rarely see in Greece). This left a good impression for me.
I had the great pleasure to meet Taso; a genuine and friendly man. Clearly the staff treat the guests as well as they appear to be treated by the boss. If back in Agistri, I will definitely eat here. I might add that it's always a great sign when you see locals eating in the local...
Read moreVery happy with our meal here earlier this evening. We walked by just past 6pm and they were the only restaurant that came up to greet us and welcome us in. We shared the Yialos salad which was so good and for mains we ordered the spinach risotto, fried calamari (which we ordered another plate of later on because it was that good) and the calamari with basil pesto on potato crisps. We were happy with everything that we ordered and service too was good. Seemed like a small family run restaurant so we didn’t expect much initially but were pleasantly surprised with how the meal and service turned out. I hope people can be kind to businesses like theirs because they serve good honest food and they are limited by the resources available on the island. I’m sure finding good wait staff is not easy either. Overall an excellent experience and highly recommend their restaurant...
Read morePerfect experience! When I got off the ferry I went up into town and after getting lost a few times I ran into someone who pointed me to the beach, I was almost to Skala and ran into this place. I asked if I could sit on their lounge chairs by the water, they were so kind and let me take a swim even though I had not ordered anything yet. Afterwards I stayed and they made me fresh sea bass and I had a a simple greek salad. I had been in Athens for a week for work being taken to the best restaurants by locals and colleagues but nothing was as good as this. Simple and expertly done, this is what you dream off in a seaside town... the view was great, it was peaceful, spotless, and the staff were so friendly to me. I will...
