An Amazing Holiday Experience!
We’ve just returned from an absolutely fantastic holiday, and I can’t speak highly enough of our experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The hotel staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to help – nothing was ever too much trouble. Whether in the hotel or out in the surrounding area, we always felt looked after and appreciated.
My wife and our 3-year-old had an amazing time. The hotel offers a wide range of activities throughout the day – perfect for families. Whether you’re someone who likes to get involved or prefers to relax and do your own thing, there’s no pressure either way. The atmosphere is very relaxed and inclusive, which we really appreciated.
One of the standout features for us was how clean and well-maintained everything was. The hotel grounds, pool area, and rooms were spotless. The food was another highlight – fresh, varied, and always plentiful. We especially appreciated the presence of the head chef, who was always nearby and available if you had any special requests or needed assistance. The first special thank you is to Manos who was amazing with us and our daughter and finding our perfect seat each meal! So thank you Manos! It really gave the dining experience a more personal touch. The pool service at the bar was amazing and need to point out one person In particular, Xanthi who was a star and makes amazing Mojito’s! Lovely lady! Thank you!
We also loved the two beachfront restaurants just a short 5-minute walk from the hotel. They provided a change of scenery with the same great quality, and the beach setting made it feel even more special.
If I had to mention a downside, it would be the service at the bar and ice cream stall at the beach. While the hotel staff overall were amazing, the same can’t be said here at the beach. Despite there being six staff members, it often felt like only two were actually working, while the others were either on break or distracted on their phones – even during busy times. It was a bit frustrating, especially when there were queues.
That said, this small issue doesn’t overshadow the wonderful experience we had. The positives far outweighed the negatives, and we left with amazing memories and full intentions to return. A huge thank you to the team for making our stay so enjoyable – we can’t wait...
Read more10th May, 2022 to 15th May, 2022 We lived at this amazing resort for 5 nights on our last anniversary. The most amazing resort we lived at. The staff was so much helpful and welcoming, can't praise more. The receptionist called Dimitry is a real asset to this resort. The resort reception had Iron, C-type charging cables, books to read, etc and lots what we forgot to take or avoided to travel light, the staff did their best to provide it.
We liked the most is the architectural and thoughtfulness of the owner. The row house are built in so convinent that reception was within 2 mins walk. The rooms were good size with a queen bed and a single bed and it was so much helpful for my little one. Balcony was equipped with airers to dry our beach cloths and even with an ash tray. Why I am writing this is, we recently finished other holiday in Malaga Spain in July 22 and Malaga hotel didn't have any of those.
We were on Half Board and food was amazing. We were bit reluctant whether we will find anything for our Indian taste but every meal, they had a different menu. Live cooking counter was a plus plus and again with lots of delicious cuisines every evening. Wine served at the dinner taste amazing and was priced very reasonable too. The resort provided us with free mineral water every day, a very generous resort. There are lots of news agents shops, local cafes, car hirer shops and small travel agents shops within 10 mins walk.
The swimming pool aerobics and evening shows kept us entertained so much that we didn't go out of the resort for first 3 days. Slides at the kids pool was another bonus as my kid enjoyed it a lot. My wife found some interesting books to read as well.
Another good part was the childminding. We had free childminding for few hours a day. We had an enthusiastic and very friendly childminder called Agnes. My kids liked her a lot and so much that he still remembers her. An amazing person and an amazing childminder we ever met. Dimitry and Agnes are real assets to this resort.
I highly recommend this resort especially if you are with kids.
A big thankyou to Dimitry, Agnes and all Georgioupolis Resort team for making our stay comfortable and...
Read moreWe booked the presidential suite for 6 days, we checked in at midnight, our room was inhibitable due to suffocating smell of sewage and rot, the reception on duty employees acknowledged the problem but he was with no authority to change the room or find a solution. I barely slept for few hours before spending the rest of the early morning at the reception. At 9:30AM the hotel finally moved us to another suite with bad sewage smell but not as suffocating as the first room. We kept complaining about the smell the entire 6 days with no solution. Every single employee who visited the room (including cleaning ladies from different shifts, swimming pool maintenance guys and reception employee) acknowledged the foul sewage smell, the only person who did not smell anything was the hotel manager and general maintenance manager (probably not to acknowledge the problem and hence find a solution or compensation). We had to leave the room as many hours as possible all day and just sleep in the sewage smell in a 5 star hotel in presidential suite!!!!
This has affected our entire stay despite the hotel many facilities (access to beach, aqua park and many swimming pools). However, the hotel can no way be rated as 5-star hotel as it misses any sense of luxury (as simple as tissue box is not available inside the room, also the bathroom door knob was broken and the shower drainage was blocked - the hotel has fixed all these issues later); if you consider this hotel as all inclusive five star hotels compared to the ones in Italy, Turkey or Egypt, then you will be disappointed.
On positive term, the available facilities and restaurant outlets are all decent and good, the hotel is clean and the service in restaurants and bars is okay.
The hotel location is not the best, the whole Georgupolis area is not served with Taxis or easily accessed public transportation, renting a car is a must if you decide to come to this area. Taxis are way too expensive.
Finally, the hotel can be called the...
