Kera Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Apokoronas

Hotel is located in the valley between Kalives and Almirida. There are shortcuts to these villages but it is mostly a pathway and quite steep. Only few streetlights along the way. You´ll manage with a small children if you carry them through some parts. Taxi was 5-7 euros each way. There is no restaurant in the hotel. You may use their cafeteria and buy sodas, beer, wine etc. There is also a coffemaker and tea possibilites. No microwave in the cafeteria or apartments. Free parking space. ||||Environment around is beautiful and has many different kinds of plants. We even got fresh apricots during the week. Hotel was very peaceful so if you don´t appreciate this kind of atmosphere, this is not your place. We definately liked it and did not mind the walk to villages. Great Place to take a Morning run and what a scenery!||||Our room was a studio in the 2nd floor, great view to the pool and sea. Clean, bright and bug free. Flagged floor in all apartments and clean bathroom. There is fridge, cutlery, tableware and hot-plate in the room. Air condition worked well. ||||Wi-fi did not work all the time. But you are on a vacation anyways ;)||||Friendly staff. Remember to ask them if you need anything. We even got a bus to Samaria and back for our group with a decent price. They will also help...

We've just came back from a week's vacation in Kera Apartments and we're so happy we've picked this place! ||The apartments are located on a cliff, overlooking the Mediterranean See. They are quite basic, but that’s all we needed- a comfortable bed, a shower, and a small kitchenette. They are very clean and we were happy with the cleaning services throughout our stay here. ||The complex includes a beautiful pool (including one for smaller kids), lots of vineyards, self-grown vegetables that one can pick, and a beautiful beach a few steps down where you can use their SUP boats and row to the nearby island, and buy some refreshments in the cantina. There’s also a communal balcony/dining room where you can pick your own drinks, and prepare your own breakfast, to enjoy while staring at the amazing sea below. ||The location is near Chania, between the villages of Kalyves and Almirida. Our friendly host Yorgos and his family shared their recommendations with us on where to eat, what to buy and where to travel around the area. Kera studios is a unique place to stay near Chania in Crete. It has one of the best views I’ve ever seen, right above the Kera bay, with green blue sea surrounded by amazing nature, trees and grapevines. An amazing pool balanced to the oceans horizon is the added value of its outdoor facilities. If you need a very calm, cozy place, close to one of the best cities in Crete, this is the one you are looking for. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, equipped with everything we needed (kitchen, oven, coffee machine etc) and they all have beautiful private terraces. The shared space has a wonderfully designed bar with drinks and a special variety of bottled wines and a large kitchen to be used by all guests. We stayed with our family for one week and it was so nice that we never wanted to leave the place, to visit other spots around! Needless to say that it is a very good value for money.
