A sparkling new hotel with a long family history. After going through some extensive renovations, the Niriides Palace reemerges with a modern design that speaks to travelers seeking a great value without compromising excellent service. The experience begins with the management. Christina's grandfather operated the hotel @this same site years ago. With her energetic, multilingual, youthful, and well-traveled manner, Christina comes from a family that puts the customer first (more about this later). Booking was a breeze, and we were able to get a lovely room with an outdoor jetted tub. We loved the room's design, which used the small living space in a way that made it seem bigger. Two balconies and a clever bathroom design (allowed multiple users at the sink) created space with a modern room divider. We commented on the possibility of installing a bidet in the toilet compartment to help the environmental conservation to reduce paper. As for housekeeping, Nora was incredibly great in her duties and very nice, too! The room, patios, common areas, and outdoor tub were always spotless. At the time of our visit, just days before the hotels new sign was installed, there were no plush bathrobes to accompany the jetted tub, and hopefully a special booking package that include them could be offered. Meanwhile, if you book the room with an outdoor tub near the parking area, you might want to bring your own bathrobes. The first floor rooms give a great view of the ocean, but at the cost of sacrificing some privacy. This is a very well operated hotel that offers self check-in. At the time of our stay, it appeared that Christina was there for everyone's check in and check out, but there was no 24 hour reception desk presence. Not at all a problem for most people acquainted with high-tech travel. The property is very safe, with full common area camera surveillance and remote control of the reception area doors, and, if necessary if someone misplaced a key card, guest doors. Best of all, Christina responded to all requests within minutes of our texting. This is a very safe and well operated place that uses modern design to keep costs low and enjoyment high, and it has win awards already for its design. Great location! You can walk a few hundred meters and find relaxing, uncrowded beaches, although the more local ones are small. A special treat was going to Christina's parents Niko and Maria' long established restaurant, Ambrosia (other businesses far away from Gouves knew about this noteworthy "taverna" that captures all the hospitality and family oriented comfort of Cretans. Though very quiet with modern insulated windows and doors, you're not isolated. It's easy to walk in either direction to the more touristy places for food and entertainment. But Niriides Palace has a special feel. We noticed couples and business persons here during our stay, and everyone seemed pleased. You'll notice that there's still some modification along the frontage when you arrive. There will be lots of more opportunities to capture more of the sun-drenched beauty of this space, but we hope that as this hotel and Crete's expansion around it grow, Niriides Palace will preserve the home style atmosphere it had during our stay.

Me and my wife recently had the pleasure of staying at Niriis Palace Hotel in Crete, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were in love with the place. The staff were incredibly welcoming, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. The location of the hotel is perfect, offering a blend of serenity and accessibility to the vibrant life of Crete. Every morning, waking up on the hotel's comfortable bed felt like a dream. It's evident that a lot of thought has been put into ensuring guests have a restful night. I've been to many places, but there's something truly special about Niriis Palace Hotel. It's a combination of its charming ambiance, the warm-hearted staff, and the sheer beauty of its surroundings that made me fall in love with it. This was more than just a trip; it was an experience that my wife and I will cherish for years to come. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a touch of luxury and a memorable stay in Crete. Thank you for everything and please keep it the same quality of service! Love from Switzerland!

Good location for access to the airport, nearby aquarium or water park. The nearest (average) restaurants and bars are a 10 minute walk. Modern furnished accommodation, thoughtful lighting, good WiFi, useful safe, private parking, large terrace (balcony). Welcome drink in the fridge.

A stunning, luxurious, modern, well-equipped property with a wonderful, helpful, attentive, kind host who really did so much more than we asked. We are so thankful and appreciative. Tranquil setting with gorgeous rolling blue sea view - shore right on the doorstep. Decking spacious, private, and relaxing. Large lawn with plentiful sun and sun loungers, as well as lots of car parking space. Bed, shower, and entire interior was large, spotless, incredibly beautiful, contemporary, and comfortable. My favourite aspect was the all-surrounding glass ceiling to floor allowing you to enjoy the breathtaking landscape from every angle. Check-in and out very smooth. Remote but lots of amenities nearby, excellent balance of the two. 5* accomodation, will...
