My husband and I stayed one night in mid-October. After Anastasia saw that we were settled into our room, she pointed out the ruins of ancient Corinth to me, visible from our doorway. With Akrokorinthos, the massive mountain being my focus, I was looking near the mountain for the ruins. Rather than getting exasperated, she directed my attention to the nearby church, which is right next to the ruins. I had no idea that the ruins were right in town. Another example of how nice she was: we called her from the town of modern Corinthos to say that we'd arrive shortly. However, while driving on the tollway, I was so busy snapping pictures that we missed the exit... Walking distance from the centre of Ancient Corinth with all the tavernas and restaurants, and close by the main archeological sites. Easy to find and a perfect overnight location for our drive to Athens from the North East (ie close to the A8). Short drive to visit the Corinth canal. A visit to ancient Corinth is a must do, the archeological site is deeply touching, walking the very stones and paths St Paul must have walked when he planted the Church of Jesus here over 2000 years ago.
