The location is fantastic, sitting above Florida City. Having said that, I strongly believe that it lacks management. Attention to detail is missing. Employees are trying, but the result is disappointing. We went down to the bar for a drink. There was a barman and a waitress; who was crying because she was trying to serve a foul house, running around like a headless chicken. The barman didn't care much about the situation. Same at breakfast. It's a Casino hotel, so parking for the residents if you return at night is difficult. Even though they've got your license plate when check-in there's no dedicated parking. All the glasses except the ones for the wine were smelling eggs. The Hotel is always getting visitors for coffee and drinks all day from the town so it not easy to find somewhere to sit while being a resident at least on Christmas while we were visiting.
About the room ... we were staying at a suit, which means you expect a hanger at a reasonable place (there was none). We had to hang our hands and face towels on a light hanging from the wall. remotes weren't properly working. There were blue lights on the door and blinking lights on the roof, which were very annoying. Both our cards stopped working at a point, and the guy at the reception told us it was the fault of the guy who checked us in. Whatever those things happen, it becomes a bad experience altogether.
We were told that the machine for the mixed juice was broken and was never fixed for the whole stay.
And don't expect someone to help you with the luggage when you arrive :)
Overall, it is a charming hotel with no attention to detail. There are worn employees due to lack of management, and the Casino at night makes it a bit fuzzy, which is ok if the service...
Read moreIt is a historic hotel, nested in the leafy hill, overlooking the city of Florina, which was renovated in 2019, to become a slick modern luxury hotel. Although a short drive (or a longer walk) from the charming city centre, it offers seclusion and serenity -one would expect from a mountain resort.|The room we booked for our family of three was spacious and elegant, with great comfortable beds and a homey sitting area, featuring an equally spacious terrace, with panoramic views of the city. Attention was given to every detail, from the lighting to each piece of furniture, to ensure the modern earthy design consistency, while the bathroom was enormous, featuring a double basin and a stunning walk-in shower.|The hotel’s lounge area was equally slick with comfortable sitting areas, both in the restaurant and bar. The breakfast was served there and was far beyond average, with ever-changing choices, and local flavours, taking the extra mile to surprise the patrons. The restaurant itself is a destination on its own merits, both for a relaxed snack, or a more sophisticated dinner.|The hotel also features a Spa, which we did not manage to visit this time, while the region’s casino is also housed in the premises (for those interested).|Overall, it was an enjoyable short summer break, we are eager to repeat -maybe at some...
Read moreWhilst planning our summer vacation, we stumbled across this hidden gem in which our expectations were truly exceeded.|From our initial dealings and greetings by Alexandrous at the front desk, we were extremely impressed with the service and the quality of the food provided. Cocktails were spot on, food was Greek with a flair of creativity.|Breakfast is a must with a large assortment of both hot and cold choices including a chef on standby whom is only happy to help with either an omelette or eggs done your way. |We were fortunate to see a local music trio whom were playing ballads whilst having dinner on a Friday night. The only minimal criticism was the assumption by the waiter that we were not able to sit on an outside table despite having booked earlier in the day. Needless to say, our table had been booked prior to which we hosted family that had only previously been there once. It was a pleasant evening and a must if playing during your stay.||Overall a 5/5 experience, with a very well thought out luxury hotel in Greece.||Well done Alexandrous and team for hosting our family! Look forward to seeing you...
