Pension Niki — Hotel in Municipality of Kalymnos

Arrived way too early due to ferries etc. Was going to try to leave my bag but owner's mother was at the property and let me have the key. After that I was left to my own devices and never saw anyone else which suited me. Away from the port up a small alley in the area of town where people live. Very small room but a lovely shared patio area with tables and chairs. Handily placed for a supermarket(next door) and local shops including a couple of great takeaways. The place is clean and nice. There is what should be, the young man who said welcome was very friendly. One night's stay cost €40. We got a room with a bath. It was no bigger than coffee and other things being on the common terrace - and that's fine enough. It is right next to AB supermarket and the road to the place can be a bit difficult to find. Schon vor dem Einchecken gab es Probleme. Telefonisch teilte der Besitzer uns mit, dass wir uns an einer Bank treffen sollten. Dieses Objekt war leider nicht leicht zu finden und als wir sie gefunden hatten, war der Besitzer leider nicht hier. ||Nach einem weiteren Telefonat erschien er dann und führte uns zu unserem Übernachtungsort: ein Zimmer in einem ehemaligen Appartment im 1. Stock eines sehr schlicht gestalteten Neubaus. Unser ebenfalls sehr schlicht gestaltetes Zimmer war überhitzt (die jetzt erst eingeschaltete AC ratterte dann ganz fürchterlich) und sehr eng. ||Wir bezweifeln die bei Booking genannte Angabe von 15m² und die Bezeichnung dieses einzelnen Zimmers - als Appartement – ist eine Groteske!||Unser selbstgestricktes Frühstück nahmen wir im Inneren eines Rohbaus ein – in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einem seine Arbeit verrichtenden Handwerkers. ||Fazit: die schlechteste Einrichtung, die wir jemals von Booking vermittelt bekommen haben.
