We are used to the scores given abundantly throughout Greece. However, here we are faced with a chef who has no taste at all. We did not expect this either. We entered thinking that it was a restaurant with a good ambiance on a beautiful street. We ordered a cheese salad with bread in it as a salad. Yes, there was bread and lots of cheese in it, but tomatoes and the others necessary for a salad were almost non-existent. It also had no taste. The few pieces of tomato that were there were also mediocre despite the season. tarama was nice, a bit too salty but manageable, the eggplant salad was good, the fried potatoes were the first I have seen in Greece but they added an industrial spice. The ones in fast food restaurants. This spice, which was half salty, ruined the potatoes that were actually good. The roasted pork roast tasted good. The real disaster started with the shrimp. Mud... literally mud. We could not eat it and sent it back. We ordered octopus. It looked great. Until we put it in our mouths. Our mouths were completely covered in salt. It was also very hard and like leather. We could not believe this situation and paid the bill and left. When we encounter such incidents in a restaurant with such good scores, we never forgive the people who give the ratings. You cost us a very valuable evening on our vacation. People care about this platform. Please do not give excessive ratings just because the waitress smiled at you. Give a rating that is suitable for the purpose. We think the ideal score for this restaurant is 4.1, we hope it helps someone. Best regards.
The restaurant owner's answer actually sums it all up. You are constantly asking for stars from your customers. You have a real problem and you can't even face it....
Read moreAbsolutely don't miss this place. We went in December and it had a wonderful atmosphere with locals and a little fire. The wait staff were excellent and helped us navigate the menu. Plus the food was so good (and I mean everything was good). The halloumi with island honey was exceptional, as were the walnut crusted shrimps. We also had the lamb chops (paidakia) which were among the best we had on our trip (and the other place we had them was really, really good). They brought all kinds of extras to the table that we don't remember ordering. The bill was much less expensive than the places on the strip. For ambiance, for great food, for service, for having wonderful time, this place...
Read moreWe came last year too. We came again this year, looking at its score. This time it was very rustic. The mediocre appetizers came. Then came a very bad shrimp, a grilled octopus that was hard as a rock and had sea salt in it, impossible to eat. They ruined our evening. We sent them all back. They accepted that the shrimp was bad and did not take the money for it. They apologized. The shrimp was bad, sorry. We will not take the money for it. But the salt in the octopus is natural. They did not add it. Of course the sea water is salty. :)) The hard as a rock is probably due to its age… Let’s be careful when giving a score. We decide by looking at...
