On the island of Warpaths, Diafani is to Olympus what Tel Aviv is to Jerusalem, or Saint-Tropez to Aix-en-Provence : an irresistible and delightful douceur de vivre, something naive, childish and more than welcoming - affectionate. Read moreGlaros hotel has some of the best views of Diafani. It is 200 metres off the very quiet road to Olympos & the rest of the Island so it is very peaceful there. Iorgos & Anna are lovely people very welcoming & always willing to help. The rooms have lovely views over Diafani & the sea cliffs to the north. The breakfasts have a very good variety of often home produced products like eggs, Anna's cakes, marmalade & figs. I have stayed there 3 times now, twice with my group of walkers. The walking in North Karpathos is WONDERFUL- probably exceeding even the well known walking areas in S.W.Crete- the paths are quite well signposted which suprised me in such a remotish area on a lesser known Greek Island. The people of the area are lovely & very welcoming- 2 must visits are Saria Island &...
