Irene Studios - Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Karpathos

We stayed with Zoi and Georgios (Irini’s parents) for eight nights. We were welcomed with a friendly chat and water melon in her small but cute garden. The apartments exceeded our expectations with a large balcony with sea view, very silent area, well functioning air conditioner, clean and newly painted flat, very good standard in general. It’s just wonderful to chill on the large terrace after a long day of adventure, looking at the stars and hearing the waves.

For us it was also great to be a bit outside (20 min walk to absolute city center), which is partly a bit touristy and crowded.

Zoe is a real star and great heart. On our last day we almost missed our ship to Athens but Zoi was quick to help, made some phone calls for us and gave us a ride to the dock and everything worked out well. Dealing with Irene wasn’t great. I had to work some hours and I struggled since there was no wifi in room 5.

Also, there was no hot water since day1. There was always the reason why. I suppose in this kind of situation the price for the stay should be reduced for the inconveniences.

I think I got cold because of cold showers.

When I said I move out to another place, Irene agreed to refund the rest of the stay with the additional charges for half a day. 😳She never apologized for anything.
