Paleochori Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Milos

I am an repeat customer for many years and just returned. This seems to be the first review for Paleochori Studios since management has changed. Sorry to say that all the great reviews of the last years have become worthless. The new owner raised the prices by almost 50 % with the premise that there now would be an excellent breakfast. That breakfast, however, consisted of two slices of bread, which were delivered to the room the day before. As you can imagine they were quite dry the next morning :-) All other breakfast items wer mass-produced, plastic wrapped items of the cheapest kind. I did not make use of the breakfast once while there. The really nice rooms are not available anymore, since they were not part of the transfer to the new owner. Nevertheless, when I booked I was promised one of nice rooms, only to find out two days before that I could not have that room anymore and that I was not allowed to cancel my reservation. The room was clean and tidy, I liked the traditional style, as if everything was curved in the stone of the mountain. The shower room was really small, I would say a bit claustrophobic. The kitchen corner was well equipped. As I was reading the other reviews, it really makes a difference at which room you are staying. As it seems the ones with sea view, have a shower room you can actually fit.||We had a garden/mountain view room, which was ok, with a small patio for our table and chairs to sit and enjoy the quiet nights…or when we couldn’t sleep as the people above us thought normal to be loud until 2am… But this is not a problem of the room itself.||The beach is 5min walking, with beach bar and water sports, and for me one of the best of the island (but I say that for almost every beach I visited on Milos). We had a lovely stay here! The staff were very accommodating and the room was refreshed everyday and new towels arrived every other day whilst we were there. The washing line outside was great for letting wet swimmers dry off and the bed was comfortable. Air con was quiet in our opinion and we used it all the time! We never had a disruption in the night at our apartment was very quiet with no noisy neighbours.

Would highly recommend to any couple wanting a quiet getaway

I would highly recommend you hire a car or a bike! We went into this property without plans of hire but the first bus only leaves at 11:50am so half the day is spent on the same beach.
