Decided to head to the third beach of the day, heard the beach was so nice and we were starving. Rocked up heard that this restaurant was pretty good and that we would have something nice to eat, but god was I wrong, the pork was so burnt on the outside thought it would just be the charcoal, but no. The inside was raw don’t know what Greeks are cooking in the kitchen but us Greeks like our meat cooked. We also got the Greek salad something simple to cook didn’t think it was so difficult. Slowly started to eat it until I realised my yaiyia just chucked in 3 whole tomatoes not even cut up. So much oregano tasted like I was eating the earth. Was so dry had to ask for oil to put on top. Didn’t know us Greeks don’t dress a salad. Oh and guess what had to pay to dress my salad 2.50euro for oil. Can’t believe it. We also ask for some extra bread pretty much gave us a 4 pieces that were not even cut up, felt like I was playing tugga war with. Pretty much ruined my whole day and an amazing beach with such bad food. To summarise it all up the staff just didn’t really care, seemed like they were not bothered at all that the meat was raw didn’t really want to cook up some new ones and give it to us. Just pathetic to be honest. Would never pay 17 euro again for 1...

I visited Paleochori on my second day in Milos. The beach has multiple tavernas surrounding it, all providing loungers for customers. I chose Pelagos because it was at the best spot.

After a couple of hours at the beach I asked the waitress for a catalogue. I was pleasantry surprised to find out they deliver your orders at the beach, and even provide small, wooden tables. It was a great experience eating by the beach on my recliner.

Among the things I tried out, the sour cheese (μυζηθρα-mizithra) on Mediterranean salad and the Skaros fish stood out, the latter of which was fresh and fished by the owner himself.

The restaurant is family owned and clean, the food well made and affordable, even more so when compared to the price of food in other Greek islands..

Measures to combat COVID were also in place, such as hand gel and social distancing. Wary travellers can be at ease here.

I left the place full and satisfied. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy some Greek food...

Pelagos is an absolute gem and exactly what you dream of when coming to Greece for an authentic experience. The taverna has a beautiful setting with both a restaurant and a bar area — the bar is perfect to relax and spend an entire afternoon enjoying the laid‑back atmosphere. The view over the sea and beach is simply breathtaking, the kind that makes you want to stay for hours. The food is delicious, fresh, and truly embodies Greek hospitality. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel right at home. On top of all this, the prices are very reasonable, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place that combines stunning views, genuine hospitality, and fantastic food, Pelagos should be at the top...

The worst Greek Salad after coming to Greece ever and ever. No olive oil at all. Slow service. Waiter was laughing when I asked for the change. The girl goes table after table offering to sell boat tours. The only reason to have lunch at this place was no internet at that beach so when I finally could read Google reviews we were already seated and I wasn’t comfortable in moving out. Should have left. Just remembered: The frozen watermelon was AWFUL. Totally synthetic. Never thought something could taste so bad. Didn’t ask for the orange juice as the price was $4.50 where we have been paying $1.50 elsewhere. The view is great but the food is really bad. A place to avoid.
