I booked a reservation with Panoromos Bay Suites in June but 2023. When I arrived at the property on September 17, 2023, I was informed that they overbooked the room and needed to move my party to their sister property. This news was shocking becuase I had been in communication with the hotel via Whatsapp and Booking.com earlier that week and even the same day because they wanted to know if I needed a transfer service to the property. I was never notified that there was a booking issue which meant I was going to be moved to a different property. The property that we were moved to was not a hotel. That was strike one. The property was about 10-15 minutes away from the hotel and was an Airbnb. If we wanted an Airbnb we would have booked that. We are travelers who enjoy being at a hotel where there is staff available and restaurants with easy access to food. Strike two was the lack of customer service that was provided at Panormos Bay Suites. Given that the hotel made this error I expected an apology which was never given. After a long travel day the group decided we wanted to have lunch at Panormos Bay Suites before going to the alternative Airbnb accommodation. There was no discount given at the restaurant which was strike 3. The hotel drove us to the Airbnb and we agreed to stay there because Spiros the manager insisted that a staff member would make us breakfast in the morning and would be available if we needed anything. This was not true! Strike 4, the next morning I texted Panormos Bay Suites as I was informed by Spiros to inform them what time we wanted breakfast and my text went unanswered. I called the hotel and they did not answer the phone and eventually started to send me directly to voicemail. The breakfast was delivered nearly two hours late by Spiros who did not come into the Airbnb to say good morning or apologize for the delay. When we checked out of the Airbnb, Spiros and another driver came to pick us up to bring us back to Panormos Bay Suites so we could hang by the pool until our flight departed later in the evening. During the entire car ride to the hotel from the Airbnb Spiros nor the other driver said one word to us, not a good morning, how was your stay, do you need anything, not one single word. This was the most uncomfortable car ride experience ever. If this was an uber ride it would have gotten 1 star and that's only because I got to my destination in one piece. At this point we were exhausted and just wanted to wait by the pool before our evening flight. I was appalled by this behavior and lack of customer service from members of the hospitality industry. I will never recommend Panormos Bay Suites or the Airbnb to anyone because of the lack of common courtesy and terrible customer service that we received. This is no way to treat customers especially those who accepted the alternative accommodation based on the hotel's error. Terrible service and lack of...

Read moreWe arrived at this property in the countryside hoping for what it promised peace and quiet in the hills above Panormos Bay. At the end of the season we hoped for our break to be all it was billed to be. We arrived in the evening the two bed villa was ok in the dark. Bed comfy and perfectly well equipped! Sadly the air con was like a cement mixer but it wasn’t too hot. The real issue had not started yet. A good supper well cooked although €175 for two starters two mains and a bottle of wine plonk €50…. Was excessive! The smell of open drains is never far away from you at this hotel! During the night with the windows open due to the noisy aircon the noise from constant barking local dogs was very irritating! Worse was to come at 0730 the building site 10m from our villa cranked into action non stop banging crashing yelling vehicles arriving leaving omg it was the worst we could have ever expected! We called for help none came. We Whattsapp the manager no reply.. we went to breakfast it was a bun fight! Over crowded food disappeared as soon as it was put out queues constantly at the temperamental coffee machine waiters overstretched the place was full and creaking at the seems! Staff were generally pleasant and helpful. Still no response from management so we went to reception at 1300. The response was appalling. Not our fault no responsibility we can’t help the noise…. Etc etc…. Then an offer to down grade us to a single room villa for a night in another days time and then a further move to to new builds on level 5….. white blocks like a bloke of flats all on top of each other no character no view and awful🤮! We thanked them for the offer and declined and asked for a refund as we were not staying there amongst the chaos. So much for peace and quiet….. The management refused a refund as they would now have to sell the villa to another unsuspecting couple to recover their loss! My problem…. I don’t think so. They knew they had building works which had obviously been on going for ages and yet still they sold us a villa from hell! This place is not luxury … the villas are pokey on top of each other 3* at very best even without the ongoing building works next door. If you want luxury in Mykonos go to Anax or St John hotels they are brilliant classy and run by lovely kind...
