Rodillo Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

I've been visiting Naxos during the summer vacation for over 8 years. This has been the best stay I've had so far. The rooms were beautiful, cosy, clean, modern and very stylish...it really made us want to spend more time inside. The facilities were up to date and the staff was comprised of young, friendly, welcoming, provident and very helpful people. Not to mention that according to our experience they are also LGBTQ+ friendly. One of the biggest pluses is the bakery next door, where baked goods are prepared fresh every day, with handmade dough and delicious fillings. Regarding the location, it is a bit far from Plaka or any supermarket if you don't have a means of transport. We love hiking however, so we really enjoyed the walk to and from the beach (about 10 minutes on foot) and towards Plaka as well (about 30 minutes on foot). During high season there is also a bus stop right in front of the bakery which makes transportation a lot easier. Personally, me and my partner also enjoyed the distance and the relative isolation since the apartments are outside Plaka where all the people go but in arm's reach if you want to go out. My husband and I stayed here for a week on our honeymoon based on the recommendation of a cab driver in Athens. Our room was reasonably priced, and it was modern, clean, and comfortable after long days in the sun. While the hotel is further away from Chora, we did not consider this to be a drawback as we rented a car and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area at night.

One of the highlights of this property is that the Lagogiannis Bakery is right next door. We would start each morning with freddo espresso and pastries, and the entire staff of the bakery was so friendly and made us feel right at home.

We had originally planned to stay three nights and then travel to several other islands, but we loved Naxos so much that we extended our stay multiple times. The owner, Irene, was so gracious and easy to work with when we told her that we wanted to stay longer. She and the rest of the staff also made us feel special and even organized a treat for us for our honeymoon!

Great apartments , good location, with beautiful decoration and very practical as well. The lady at the reception was very polite. The bakery delicious!!! The cleaning services were excellent as well! The only thing that needs to be considered is the noise. This hotel is not sound proof at all, and if you are someone who wants to sleep until 11 am -12 pm this hotel is not for you. We could clearly hear the water from the upper room flowing like it was in our room, very much noise, cupboards, footsteps, conversations out of our room. It was very hard to sleep past 8 am to be honest. Additionally , the window in the bathroom does not have proper stores , and there is a glass door as well.
