Laki Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Nea Propontida

Avoid at al costs. First, it's not a "hotel" but apartments, because they: -do not clean your apartment: -do not change the sheets: -do not throw the garbage (you have to throw it, even the toilet garbage). Second, the object has problems (some rooms with drainage, some with air-conditioning leaks, some with toilets not functioning, most of them with fridges, and some rooms smell of mold because of old curtains. Maybe you'll not have a problem, we did in all 3 rooms that we were put (even flood on the floor). Third, the Macedonian owner and his wife are new to this business and in our personal experience, the owner is violent and aggressive when you object to the problems, and his wife is trying "to put everything under the carpet", but both of them will not even mention a proper compensation at any cost. You paid 100%, got 50% functionality, their words are: "that was your luck" or "this stuff happens, it can happen it your home as well". It's far from nice to have handy-men in your apartment fixing stuff while you can't spend your holiday as planned. Guest rights are non-existing over there, simple "sorry" and that's it. Maybe, in future - when the object will be renovated and the owner's behaviour changes for better, it might be a solid vacation place. They placed new fine beds and painted the rooms, and apart from that the object is old and with lot's of problems. But, the biggest disappointment is and remains the owner itself and his wife. Total lack of renting skills and communication especially dealing with the customer's concerns with the problems that should not exist for that amount of money per night (August: 112 Euros per night plus 2...

I strongly advise against booking this apartment. I stayed for 7 nights and the experience was extremely disappointing.

No hot water: During the entire stay there was no hot water available. When I contacted the owner, instead of fixing the issue, she tried to suggest that I didn’t know how to use it. Other guests confirmed they had the same problem, so it was clearly not an isolated issue.

Poor facilities: The shower did not drain properly, so I had to shower standing in dirty water every day. Unhelpful owner: When we asked to change rooms, the request was refused. The owner offered no real solutions to any of the problems. On top of that, she demanded full payment on the very first day, which made it impossible to leave earlier without losing money. Apart from this, the receptionist acted more like a coordinator, couldn’t speak Greek, and was of no help with any of our issues.

Overall, the service and conditions were far below any acceptable standard. I deeply regret booking this place and would not recommend...
