Haritos Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Nisyros

We stayed in the Romantzo hotel just down the road from here for 1 night. As we had been to Nisyros before on a day trip we thought it would be nice to have some chill time by a pool not too far from us.||||Usually if you are able to use somebody's pool and are not resident, buying drinks is sufficient. Here tho they charge you 5 euros per bed and drinks extra. That was ok by us as the beds and cushions were of excellent quality, the view was over the harbourvplus that very warm pool!||||However after taking our first dip in the 'bath' I noticed that my costume got yellow stains (presumably from the sulphur) and also the towels on the beds were the same. Despite washing them twice over when we got home the stains remained so BEWARE of this.||||A suggestion would be for the hotel to provide a pool side fresh water shower, but there is nothing.||||The interior of the hotel is clean enough but very basic. Would suggest to stay down the road...

Even though the hot geothermal swimming pool was both pleasant and relaxing, the special water in the pool immediately discolored our swimwear. The water made orange/rust colored stains on our swimwear that could not be washed off. We were not informed about this beforehand. So do not wear your brand new white swimwear to the pool, I would recommend something black. ||||The hotel room was very standard Greek and simple - a room with a bed, a bathroom and a balcony. There was what we needed, but the room was also worn. Besides that, there was no kitchenette or a kettle etc. There was a fridge, but it was very small and the freezer inside the fridge was microscopic.||||The breakfast we were not impressed by. The eggs were overcooked and generally the food lacked taste. The coffee was fine, though. The location was also fine, only a short...

CLEANLINESS!!! In the summer of Covid19 I found hair in the bathroom floor!!! The staff, although polite, were unable to change our room or clean the room again before we settled. The island is remote and without many accommodation options and it felt like the owner was simply taking advantage without cleaning or maintaining this hotel at an acceptable standard. The door handle collapsed upon touching it; it never got fixed. And the room is just full of multi-plugs stuffed together ready for a short-circuit.Shame as the island is spectacular in every other way.Location and free parking is the only good thing I can say about this property. It is 2' from the port and 3' from the town of Mandraki all on foot....
