Karmi Studios and Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Platanias

Arrived at Karmi Apartments and the first thing to impress us was their Covid safety measures. The apartment was excellent - good kitchenette and dining area (though a single bed was in here - personally I would remove it, and have the apartment sleep 2 only in the large comfy double bed in the sleeping area. The bathroom was clean, and spacious with an excellent shower. The room had a balcony with a fantastic sea view and enough room for a table & 2 chairs, washing lines to hang items to dry from (pegs included) plus the air con conditioner unit. Cleaning was as per the covid regulations and could not be faulted. ||The apartments also have a swimming pool with sun loungers - well spaced for Covid. Great sunbathing to be had here and dips in a cold pool (after initial shock was great). ||A great location if you like to walk, go to beaches or visit Kolymbari or other villages locally. My husband and I with our three years old son stayed in Karmi apartments for 5 nights. It was the perfect backdrop to our first travel following 18 months of lockdown in the UK. Our son played with other kids in the car free village every evening in the basketball court. We cooked meals on the kitchenette and enjoyed the quiet and quintessentially Greek views. Mornings spent down at Yialia beach - we took the car there due to the little one, but absolutely walkable too (15/ 20 minutes). Ouzo and meze at the local bar at the entrance to Stenies village - Stathmos. Coincided with a full moon. Divine. The apartment is simply decorated and fully functional. We’d recommend the location and the space. This is a quiet village - locals and second home owners proud of its uniqueness. The host Aris helped us with our first shop. We had a great two-week stay here with my partner. Our room was spacious and we found the well-equipped kitchenette really useful. The A/C was working properly which was a huge plus. They cleaned the room every 3 days but you could request clean towels at any time if needed. We enjoyed the pool area as well, and on most days there were no other people except from us! The staff were kind and polite, always greeted us when coming or going. Kolymvari is located approximately 2km from here, a small town with shops, restaurants and supermarkets. You can also take the bus to Chania as there are two bus stops close to the entrance.
