Eleonas Studios — Hotel in Municipality of Poros

We wasn't 100% sure about going abroad this year with the COVID situation at the forefront of our minds but we did our research and found that Greece was one of the safest places to be during this pandemic (even safer than the UK, our home). We have been to POROS before and loved the island, so we opted for Eleanos Studios , the premium apartment. All was well from the off we were called on arrival to Greece by Ellie, the owner, and she kindly arrange a taxi door to door. We were then greeted warmly and were surprised how clean modern the studios were. Within a few days of our arrival measures were put in place , such as masks in all public places, no groups of 6 or more etc and this was a consequence of a high daily tally on the island of invections (13 i believe) but this was only a minor chore that we have now become used to wherever we go ... I have to say we felt really safe in the studios , as there were sanatizers everywhere , we were encouraged to social distance and there was constant cleaning going on. The studio cafe was shut so as not to encourage large groups to sit together. ||||Overall we had a lovely time and it seemed such a shame that we heard of families cancellign at the last minute just becuase of the increased measures , which were reported as a a lockdown but was certainly not. We stayed at Eleonas Studios from the 15th of August for 12 nights and as a family of 4 we stayed in the premium apartment. We had the most wonderful holiday and loved Eleonas. The apartment was beautiful - very spacious with comfortable beds, 3 balconies and an upstairs area with dining table and chairs, a kitchen and a comfy sofa and tv. The gardens are really lovely and well looked after and the pool area is perfect with enough beds and a mixture of some getting plenty of sun at various parts of the day and some with plenty of shade. The owner Elli is just lovely and hits the perfect mix of being available for anything you need with nothing being too much trouble but not being in the way. The lady that cleans the rooms is very friendly and happy and does a great job. We had read about the ‘quiet time’ around the pool which we were worried about but it really wasn’t a problem at all and it was quite nice to have a couple of hours of peace and quiet in the afternoons. There are a couple of supermarkets and a bakery just a stones throw from the apartments and a selection of restaurants in easy walking distance. We have visited Poros many times and love the island and Eleonas Studios. Elli is a wonderful hostess and the accommodation is still of the same high standard today as on our previous visits .The rooms are clean , well equipped with free air-con plus a ceiling fan. The beds are comfy and there is a good shower with plenty of hot water. Two verandas , one in the rear and the other at the front of the studio provide Sun or shade depending on the time of day.||The pool area and the garden are beautiful - a tranquil oasis. Olive trees,shaded areas and the comfy sun beds add to the ambience in a perfect environment. The restaurants in Asekli Bay and in town are plentiful serving good quality Greek and international cuisine with an abundance of fish on offer. Hopefully we will return to our favourite Greek destination soon and once again would like to thank Elli and her staff Annetta ( who must be the happiest person in Greece ) and Alberto for their excellent welcome and care during our stay .||Diolch yn fawr. ||...
