We really enjoyed our stay at the Georgio Seaside Hotel last September and highly recommend it. The property is located just a few minutes’ walk from all the bars and restaurants and being on the flat there are no hills to negotiate either. Our spacious studio was kept spotlessly clean and offered self-catering facilities, a comfortable bed, a sofa and a large balcony with side sea views. There is also a communal lounge on the ground floor where you can sit and relax and outside there is plenty of car parking spaces so no problems if travelling with your own transport. Within a 5 minutes’ walk there is a well-stocked supermarket which came in very handy during our 9 night’s stay and sitting on our balcony eating our breakfast or dinner was very nice too. Finikounda itself was a pleasant resort with some nice shops to brows and not too busy either and sitting in a bar or café evening times people watching was really enjoyable too. Regarding beaches we found the main one only average and a little bit disappointing but nearby there are some much better ones which are more spacious and relaxing and we preferred to walk to these rather than staying local. When we did want to venture a little further such as Koroni and Methoni the owner of our hotel arranged a local taxi driver to take and pick us up and this worked out really well for us. Our stay at the Georgio Seaside Hotel was just about perfect with the only negative being the balconies are not as private as I would like them to be. But saying that we did enjoy sitting on ours with a glass of wine and watching the kittens play down below so it didn’t affect our enjoyment too much. So in summary we are so pleased we picked this hotel when looking for somewhere to stay in Finikounda and I would most definitely recommend staying here especially if travelling...
Read moreThe hotel is just a few m from the sea on a quiet road. This is not a problem as the seafront is occupied by beds from cafes, not other hotels and we always managed to get an umbrella/bed. (All you have to do is buy a coffee or two during the day.)||The room was spacious, extremely clean and well-maintained. The kitchen area was well-equipped with sandwich and coffee makers and the fridge/freezer was large enough for our family. It also has a useful breakfast bar. The beds were really comfortable and we all slept well - helped no doubt by our exertions on the beach every day! ||The smallish bathroom has shower/washbasin/toilet and the water pressure and temperature were good - no sudden surges or drops in temperature. ||The balcony had sideways views towards the sea and was large enough for us to sit on for breakfast or in the evening. ||The hotel also has three bikes, and my daughter and I used two to go to the supermarket/bakery in the morning (it is also easily walkable) for fresh provisions. ||The hotel is made by the personality of its owner, Nikoletta who is always pleasant and ready to help.||We look forward...
