Casa Feliz Crete — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

We had an amazing stay at Casa Feliz in Crete, Greece – it truly felt like a home away from home. Even before check-in our host Michail was in regular contact, ensuring everything went smoothly. We were even able to check in early, which was a lovely bonus. Upon arrival we were welcomed with a delightful package, including a delicious white wine.

The house is cleaned every few days, with fresh linens provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, so if you prefer to cook for yourself, everything you need is there. However, there are also plenty of great dining options nearby. The neighborhood is peaceful and pleasant, adding to the overall relaxing experience.

Michail, the host, deserves special mention for his exceptional hospitality and keen eye for detail. Communication with him was seamless – he responds quickly to any questions, is extremely helpful and offers fantastic tips for exploring the area.

I have stayed in many places over the years, but this one is definitely a standout. I don’t usually return to the same place twice, but Casa Feliz is an exception – we would gladly come back! 🤍

If you love beautiful, thoughtfully designed spaces where you can fully relax, this is the place to be. The location is also quite central, making it easy to take trips to both the western and southern parts of the island like we did. You have the convenience of private parking right at the doorstep, and there’s also a laundry room available for use.

Where to start! Me, my wife and two boys stayed at Casa Feliz for 8 days in July 2023. I'm pretty sure my words won't cover how happy we were with everything from start to finish. To begin with the host of the property was extremely helpful right from when we were looking to book the place. He sent multiple suggestions for places for us to visit in Crete and also closer to the property. He was very fast to reply if I had any questions. Best host we have had in our travels as a family. The property itself exceeded our expectations. Everything was perfect! The design and the furniture offer a very calm and relaxed atmosphere where you can relax and almost step out of this world. The property has all the amenities needed for a family. The outdoor space was used a lot by us and the pool was very nice. I must also mention the beds which were extremely comfortable which is very often not the case in rental properties. We were amazed by everything! The neighborhood itself was very authentic with a few nice cozy restaurants and friendly people. About 100m from the property is a small market which has all the necessary things you need and they offer free range eggs from the local farm. We really liked that. It's safe to say that we will definitely come back....hopefully sooner...

I've stayed in many places across the world from large to boutique hotels, Airbnbs and everything in between, and Casa Feliz is definitely one of the best spaces I have experienced.

Beautiful, thoughtful design, with attention to every detail. Every corner of the house could be from a design magazine, the outdoor space is incredible, and of course, Gerani - the quaint and charming town the house is located in. Very welcoming and warm locals who we got to know and made our stay even more special. Groceries, coffee and restaurants are within steps. The space and the surrounding area made us feel safe and welcomed, it is close to Rethymno old town and city centre, and many beautiful beaches. Also not too far from Chania as well.
