Well..where to start, first off, this resort is not a 5. It may be on paper but for service and variety it is not.||On arrival you only get one bottle of water in the fridge for a Junior suite with a private pool room. That can be refilled at a cost. No soft drinks or anything else in the fridge which you get in other actual 5 resorts.||Also drinks a lot of the alcoholic drinks are held behind a pay wall for simple things like daiquiri drinks costing 7.50 in euros for one. This again is an additional charge for something that's included as all inclusive in actual 5* resorts.||The resort itself is beautiful. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are clean and spacious, the cleaners are the star of the show and work wonders.||Onto the food..|The food whilst nice enough gets very repetitive very quickly. Breakfast is the same offering each and every day, mostly catering to the Germans on site, so get German sausage and omelette of the day eggs and two trays of bacon.||The space used for the hot food is massively under used and the same 4 items are mostly put on both sides of the hot food counter so no variation on foods. This is also the same in the evening for the main restaurant food and the same hot food is put on both sides. It seems pointless and was the main reason we ate out 5 nights of the 10 night stay.||The Ala carte restaurant was lovely but you only get one visit per stay and it's a strict set menu.||The lunch pool bar for food was honestly the best in the place the Gyros were amazing and the staff helpful and friendly.||There is no pool side service or beach service or even room service for the beach front private pool rooms. Unlike actual 5* resorts you usually get a scan to order a QR code for drinks.||Service in the main restaurant was for the most part fine. But on some occasions when we brought back a plate we had nobody to come take our old plate away. We also felt at times the service was the same compared to those who spoke German. ||Entertainment in the evening was basically non-existent with bingo and a karaoke night here and there.||There is really only one main bar for the whole resort which is across from the main restaurant/buffet restaurant. It gets full quickly and noisy full of smoke most times.||The resort could be doing with opening another bar for a quiet experience. Near the pool or on the beach etc.||The beach was fine, I would say the beds on the beach seem old and one broke when I sat on it. They also would be good to have the wood walk way cover the length of the beds and beach so your able to use that to walk to a bed.||The beach bar is fine also but again very under whelming. It could do with a massive upgrade, put some woods flooring down around the area and tables and chairs and lights, could be used for a beach vibes area more chilled.||The walkways on the resort badly flood when heavy rain comes down, resulting in having to walk on grass which is also soaked or get your feet submerged in water. The worst part being the walk path at the side of the Ala Carte restaurant.||There are hardly any videos online for the resort, I took my Go Pro to film a full resort walk round early morning 7AM before the main restaurant opened for breakfast.||I walked into the main reception and was stared at by the receptionist and the guest relations manager, as I was showing the main entrance. I walked over and stated that I was going to do a walk round as they have zero presence online for guests to see the resort. I stated I would do it early in the morning also. I was basically told no by the guest relations person, who told me to film but get no persons in the video ?||Seemed a bit weird that they don't want anything shown for the resort but stated for guest privacy. It was 7am and hardly anybody was around. I left filing for fear of getting Into bother.||I feel the resort is 5* on paper to get the extra tourist tax cost paid per room per night. As that's where it ends. It falls far short of a 5* and probably wouldn't return to this resort unless things change.||It is in a good location and a 20 min walk to the local town where there are some amazing places to eat.||Our room was a junior suite with a shared private pool beach facing. This was a lovely room with the best air conditioning I have seen in any resort. My issue with it is that the TV was a bit dated along with the unit it was sitting on and no spare plug close to the TV meant you would need to either unplug the kettle to use a fire stick or Google TV stick. It could use another power socket there to use.||Also a newer TV that allows you to cast from a phone would be good also. The volume on TV seemed broken and low at times even when turned up.||The fridge as stated only had one bottle of water upon arrival and wasn't refilled, so we ended up having to buy soft drinks to put in it. Water could be refilled at the pool bar or beach bar for free tho and was chilled.||Also a lot of the time the music coming from the levante next door was the only thing you heard.||So yeah we stayed here for 10 nights. And the service just didn't seem like 5* and I honestly feel that's down to us being English speaking (Scottish) and hardly anyone in the resort was.||Some of the staff seemed to be different when they heard the accent in the main restaurant, not all though.||So having stayed in multiple 5 star resorts,.I have to say this is a 3.5 4 star at a push but certainly far from a 5 star. The potential is there to reach...
Read moreWe have just got back from 7 nights at this resort and we had a great stay with only a few minor issues which didn't prevent us from having a lovely holiday overall.||This might be a long review but I will be honest and include as much relevant detail as possible. ||We arrived late on our first night, around midnight, but we were told that we could use the restaurant if we wanted to or go straight to our room if we preferred. A member of staff took us to our room on a golf buggy which was not really necessary as it was only a short walk from reception, but was appreciated at the late hour.||We booked through TUI and their rep, Sandra, was available at the resort all week. We had an intro briefing with her first thing in the morning on our first day and the nice thing was that she told us about the area and didn't try to push the TUI experiences on us, telling us that it was very convenient to get a local bus to nearby attractions.||The bus stop is less than 2 minutes walk from the hotel and there are regular buses to Lindos and Rhodes Old Town at a cost of 4EUR each way which is very good value. Take cash as not all the buses have a card machine. Both attractions are less than an hour away by bus and both worth a visit in my opinion. Very easy to navigate with no need to go on one of the tour guided trips.||We had a ground floor garden view room and the location was idyllic, the only issue was the ants. On the first few days we had quite a bad ant problem and they were coming into the room off the patio- I didn't report this to the hotel as we thought they might move us to a different room if we did and we really liked our room. So we dealt with the ants ourselves (there was a sticky substance on the floor that they were attracted to, which was there when we arrived, and I cleaned it up myself) and made sure not to keep any food or drink in the room which seemed to do the trick. The room was very spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and coat hangers. There was 1 bottle of water in the fridge which you have to refill yourself throughout your stay but this is not an issue as there are multiple water refill fountains around the resort. I would recommend taking your own refillable water bottle too. ||We found the all inclusive buffet more than sufficient. We are vegetarian so often struggle with the choice on all inclusive buffets, in the past we have stayed at resorts where we have ended up eating out every night rather than taking advantage of the all inclusive package. That was not the case at this resort, we had 3 good meals a day at the all inclusive restaurant, sometimes I had 2 or 3 plates because there was so much choice and I wanted to try everything! The only comment I would make was that there were hummus and other dips available which I would have loved to have with some pitta bread, but the only pitta bread available was in a tray containing meat so I couldn't really have it. There was plenty of other bread available (which was always soft and fresh) but it would have been nice to be able to have some pitta bread too. ||There is 1 meal at the a la carte restaurant included per stay, they also catered to our dietary requirements and we had a really nice evening there.||There was heavy rain on one day of our stay and we had decided to take advantage of the spa. Unfortunately a lot of the spa facilities were broken on that day so we couldn't do any of the wellness days/packages, only massages and individual treatments were available. We were allowed to use the spa at the hotel next door though and for 15EUR per person we could spend as long as we wanted using their jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. ||On the sunny days there was never any problem getting a sun lounger either on the beach or by the adults pool, and I didn't notice anyone 'reserving' their loungers early, which is not allowed. The pools were very cold but if you were brave enough to get in it wasn't too bad. The sea was much warmer.||I had read a lot of reviews saying that the beach was pebbly so I had bought some sea shoes, but I didn't actually find the beach that bad. It is mostly sandy with some pebbles nearer the sea. The sea is perfectly clear and great for swimming. ||Overall I thought the resort was wonderful and it was kept very clean. There are a lot of feral cats around though and I made the mistake after befriending one- it was all well and good until he decided to bring me a present. I arrived back at our room one afternoon to find a dismembered mouse on the patio. I reported it to reception and someone came straight away to dispose of the body but they never came back to clean up the pool of blood which I had to get rid of myself by boiling the kettle and trying to wash it away. It was the worst thing I have ever smelled. Luckily it rained heavily that evening so the patio got 'washed' but I didn't see anyone actually come to mop it until 2 days later. ||A great holiday, friendly and helpful staff, and great food. We wouldn't hesitate...
Read moreWe spent a week at this hotel with all inclusive. I would like to say that the people working in the restaurant was amazing and very warm and service minded. They made us feel like home everyday and helped us alot.
But unfortunately i cannot say the same about the rest of the staff. We arrived late at midnight and there was strangely enough only 1 person working in the reception when so many people was checking in. Our baby and we where soooo tired and it took long time when this guy explained the whole hotel procedure to each and every person so late in the day. I mean come on, just give us an information paper or explain tomorrow OR have more people in the reception working this late.
When we finally got the keycard to our room and this staff person who helped us with the luggage to our room told us that we could not use the elevator and started to lift up our baby stroller when our baby was sleeping and told us to take the stairs up. We told him No No No what are you doing, are you crazy? Then he just shaked his head and said angrily take the elevator and he walked away. We did not understand why he did this. We took the elevator and it worked just fine.
This hotel says it is a 5 star hotel, we have been to many 5 star hotels in the world and this does NOT even come close to the standard of a 5 star hotel. The room and the bathroom was of very poor quality compared to real 5 star hotels. They need to renovate and change the whole hotel and make it more modern if they want to call themselves a 5 star hotel. The room had the cheapest shampo and soap and not very luxury at all. The minibar was not even filled, only a water bottle. Very bad even when you have All inclusive you did not get refilled minibar. The drinks at the hotel was very poor and not real Coca cola etc, it was again the cheapest available options and budget local drinks. 5 star hotel and this kind of cheap drinks? The food in the hotel in the restaurant was not very tasty and sometimes the chicken or the meat was undercooked. The variety of the buffé was not good. They only have much pork. Not good drinks at all. Breakfast also no variety and tasteless cheese and butter.
The snacksbar staff was very rude and not helpful at all. We wanted chicken gyros instead of pork gyros and they did not want to make us chicken gyros because it was not "on the menu". Very poor service. You can not be this unflexible and lazy in a "5 star hotel". The next day we saw that the staff made chicken gyros to the entertainment staff on the hotel, then all of a sudden they made us chicken gyros... and later that day the would not make us once again. Very strange people working in this snacksbar. We arrived one day only 2 minutes late to the snacksbar on closing time because we made our son sleep. But the staff just rudely said no we will not help you or make you any snacks. Also the reception would not help us in this matter and was very rude. They should change the closing time of snacksbar because the waiting time until dinner was very long, especially when having kids. Or have the dinner time a little bit earlier for families with kids.
They did not clean the rooms on sundays strange enough, no 5 star hotel has ever done like this. The rooms was very dirty and a lot of bugs and insects. The whole hotel area had a lot of bugs, ants and insects. They should to something about this, use spray or something disinfecting to get rid of the bugs. The rooms and doors and walls had NO sound isolation at all. You could literally hear everything from outside. Very disturbing and not the standard of a 5 star hotel.
In the beach area the bar played very high disco music. This was very annoying to hear when visiting the beach. The beach should be a calm place where you can relax and hear the waves of the ocean. Now we only heard the annoying high disco music.
The outdoor pools were ICE COLD, i do not understand why they did not heat up the pools. We could not swim in...
