Plaza Resort Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Saronikos

Unfortunately our stay at the Plaza Resort was not very pleasant.

Beginning, the receptionist was keeping on picking up the phone whilst she was trying to check us in. She didn’t pay attention, had our reservation dates wrong and wasn’t able to make the card reader work so she had to get her manager. We booked the ‚family suite‘ (295€) what turned out to be one room with three single beds - what felt more like a dorm than a suite. Also one side of the hotel has the most amazing view over the garden and the sea. The other side just looks onto the parking lot and has a ridiculous „balcony“ which is literally 50 cm wide. When we had breakfast we got the food from the buffett and tried to order drinks. None of the staff came to get our order. When we tried to talk to the person making the coffee, she rudely sent us away and said we should wait until the staff comes to the table. We waved and tried to draw attention from the staff but only after 40 minutes when we had already finished the breakfast somebody came to take our order. The coffee included in the breakfast comes from an automatic machine and was a disgrace. When you want actual coffee you have to pay extra. At the beach we ordered club sandwiches. Not only were they heavily overpriced but we also had to wait 45 minutes to have them arrive in single use plastic boxes with the potatoes almost raw. Also the coffee and cocktails are overpriced and not even that tasty.

Over all we were so upset, that we left the hotel early after just two nights. The room, the service and the prices were disappointing. A huge let down and not at all meeting the inquiries of a five star hotel. We will certainly not come back and we can not recommend...

The location of the hotel is wonderful by a large bay of sandy beach with clear water where everyone can enjoy swimming.|The hotel layout is extremely nice.|The sea view rooms enjoy the vast greenery in front of them before reaching the swimming pool and then the beach.|The staff are amazing; they are welcoming polite and helpful and enthusiastic.They all treated us very nicely.|Unfortunately the hotel needs renovation the fact that few daily use things can be upsetting such as difficulty in opening the sliding doors of the 2 rooms we occupied on the ground floor level.the walls need painting.the bathtub were obstructed.the shower battery was shaky.These couch’s folding beds were in very poor condition and hazardous for children (exposed metal frame )|The safe deposit boxes were not functioning. In spite of various reminders they were not repaired.|The chairs and the sun beds outside the rooms were never cleaned.|The umbrellas and the sun-beds by the beach were in poor condition; they lack maintenance.|These are not acceptable in a 5stars hotel.|Finally the food is medium ; there is no variety; few items of the menu we ordered were in shortage or missing .no menu for vegans at all especially at breakfast such as yogurt and cheese.|The room charges are not...

The Hotel's really nice and I don't recommend only the sea view rooms since you can watch the beautiful sea at every meal of the day. Staff's really nice and the food's pretty good, but when you're on all inclusive and there arrives some kind of business trips you might be a bit ignored during the visit and all inclusive part of food can be smaller and worse than normally. I don't recommend it to people with kids - it's mostly been sold as a adult place and people pays to enjoy silence, but also the kids can be very bored cause there are no Attraction for them since it's selling itself as a non-kids place. The real problem but also biggest advantage of this place is its location. It's far from any big city, like Athens (about an hour by car) and has only one bus line which using can be unclear to tourists. Also the bus connects it only with Sounion directly, but to Athens you need to take two more buses. There are shops and restaurants around but I don't recommend the first one that you meet near hotel (going in Sounion direction). Those might be minuses or pluses as you wish cause beside most of flaws od one of the prettiest and calmest place I've ever been due to being so far from cities. I enjoyed my stay at...
