Ioli Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Sikinos

I visited Sikinos for 3 nights in early September and consider myself fortunate to have chosen Ioli Apartments. Everything about my stay here was fantastic and I can’t recommend it highly enough.||||On arrival, they collected my luggage from the ferry and would have taken me as well, but the room wasn’t quite ready yet as I arrived at midday. I received a message a couple of hours later to say the room was finished and it was only a short walk from the beach to the accommodation.||||First impressions: wow! Although the furnishings are typically Greek, the room is large and spotlessly clean. The amenities are comprehensive: full kitchenette, even including a washing machine! The bathroom is clean with an excellent shower and the air-conditioning is effective and quiet.||||What makes this place special are the little things: the linens on the beds are soft and good quality, as are the mattresses; the pillows are comfy; the towels soft and smell fresh. A big bottle of water is supplied in the fridge on arrival. There are tons of cups and glasses in the cupboard so you can make a cup of tea or coffee in a decent sized mug! Plenty of wardrobe space.||||The location is great: about 500m up the main road from Alopronia beach/port, with lovely views down to the sea.||||I’ve been in Greece for two months, have stayed in over a dozen hotels/apartments and this is by far the best overall because I really can’t think of anything negative that I would change. Perhaps best of all, it only cost me €43 a night making it one of the cheapest...
