We were in Maistrali Studios for a week at the end of September. Our room was the Faros room. This room and also the other two sea view rooms have a balcony and great views of the open sea, the port and the beach. This view is unique and thrilled us. The Faros room is small, also the bathroom. For us it was okay. In Faros room there are a small fridge, a kettle, capsule coffee machine, some dishes and cutlery. So we could prepare our breakfast and enjoy it on the balcony. Coffee and tea is included every day. AC and free WiFi worked well. I suspect that the facilities and size of the other rooms are similar. You can swim infront of Maistrali. There is a ledder to go in and out the sea. To the beach it's a 3 minutes walk, to the ferry approx 8 minutes. You can park your car for free in the public parking lot near the beach. The hosts Harris and Jenny are very friendly and helpful. They have a small electric car to pick up your luggage from the port. They cleaned the room every day and on some days they brought homemade sweet rolls or other little things for our breakfast. They have a tavern in Chora, named Kapari. The food there is very tasty. I would be happy to recommend Maistrali and also...
Read moreReally enjoyed our stay here. The owners are very friendly and helpful if needed, but leave you to your holiday. The hotel itself is in the best location, we had a beautiful balcony view. You can also swim from the private deck behind the hotel. The rooms are small but well laid out. Beds were comfy and everything super clean. Came with a nice coffee machine in the room and tea and coffee every day. Balcony was amazing. Bathroom small but has all you need. If you are coming to a small island like this, you have to expect that it's not going to be Santorini style rooms. But we really loved it. The hosts also helped us out when our ferry was cancelled and we booked an extra night. Would stay there again if revisiting. The owners also have a restaurant in Chora, which is also really nice food and the best we had...
Read moreWe stayed here for 3 nights and would recommend it for a quiet, restful holiday. We were picked up from the ferry and after a 1 minute car ride we had a walk of about 3 minutes to Maistrali. Our room was clean & comfortable and rather like being on a ship with your own private balcony. It's only a short walk to the port area where there's a mini mart (only opened for a short time each day when we were there) and we ate at the only place open, the hotel. We took the bus up to the Chora where there was little open. It's worth the walk up to the church there for beautiful views. The walk back from the Chora to the port was really enjoyable. The only thing I didn't like was having my passport taken and not returned until we paid on our last day but would recommend a stay...
