MAGDA HOUSE — Hotel in Municipality of Sithonia

MAGDA HOUSE is the best accommodation I have used so far in Greece. It is located across the street of Lagomandra beach, which has excellent natural shade under the pine trees. The yard is soo beautifully arranged with lots of grass, trees and flowers, a playground for children and benches, tables and chairs for guests. The host really carefully took care of the needs of the guests, so in the yard there are: shared kitchen with hotplates, ovens, grill, sinks, tables and chairs and all necessary kitchen utensils, for those who do not want to cook in the rooms. two showers with hot water for showering after the beach bicycles for children and adults Magda house consists of two buildings, one of which is 3 years old and the other 25, but neat, clean and looks like a new. Each room has an equipped kitchen (stoves, refrigerator with freezer, extractor fan, cutlery, pans,...), air conditioning, TV, hair dryer and its own spacious terrace with tables, chairs, electrical outlet, awnings (electrically powered, so they don't have to be set manually!) and a line for drying clothes, plus chairs and tables on the side where there are shared terraces and stairs. On each level there is a common closet with all hygiene necessities: detergents, garbage bags, brooms, mops and garbage cans, even an outdoor tap on the top floor. Rooms are cleaned and bed linen and towels are changed every 3 days. Each room has beach chairs and umbrellas provided, as well as mosquito nets and other products in the anti-mosquito line (there aren't that many). Each car has a safe and covered parking space in the yard. The environment are quiet and peaceful throughout the all day and night, so the rest is guaranteed! The host Vasilis is very kind and attentive, ready to help and solve any problem you may have, and even drive to the doctor if needed! Perfect place for a family vacation. Rooms are very cozy, very clean and it has all the equipment that you can possibly need. Every room has a spacious balcony as well. Rooms are cleaned every two days and you get a brand new set of sheets and towels. Accomodation has also a big yard with some sort of a playground for children and a lot of green beautiful grass that the host Vasilis take care of every single day, also chairs and tables that you can use. Every room has its parking spot. Behind the two buildings that this property has there is an outdoor kithen with two grills and a stove that you can use as well (you don't even need to bring spicies they have that too), shelf with books, three large tables, two sinks, oven, you name it they provided it. Outdoor shower is also avalible. For your convenience for every room they provide chairs and beach umbrella as well. They provide baby cribs, high chairs for feeding also. All this is literally ten steps from the beach, and it is one of the most beautifull beaches I have ever seen, also perfect for children as it is in the shade of pine trees. Very important thing as well there is always hot water. All in all this was one of the best private accomodations I have ever been in, you will feel like home but not only because of the coziness of this place but because of the wonderfull humang being - host Vasilis and his dear mother Magda. Thank you very much for making us feel like home on our first vacation with, at that time, our 8 months old...

It's difficult to describe this place.

First of all there is the owner - Vasilis is a wonderful host who is always willing to talk to you on different topics and to share with you nice places to visit around and many other things (his constant smile comes as a bonus).

Then you have nice rooms in a cozy family hotel with great! garden.

And finally there is the beach - the house is virtually located on the beach: I didn't feel these 30 meters. The water is super clean with many (and different) fishes swimming there, the sand is ok (clean, not thin but not unpleasant to lay on it), the pine forest behind the beach is beautiful and refreshing. Please note that there is paid zone (not cheap, 10€ per day) related with the only hotel around, but still there is massive place remaining as free zone.

Plus there are some small things which also boost the experience - many chairs and sunshades in the garden (in order all guests to accommodate there), free BBQ zone, free bicycles, free sunbeds and sunchairs (you could live without them but it is a nice benefit).

And finally - you have two tavernas close to Magda House (I recommend Der Pirat and not the one of the nearby hotel) and a supermarket (only basic commodities though). If you want something else to do except of pure relaxing, then the towns of Nikiti (15 min driving) and Neos Marmaras (5 min driving) are...
