We booked this lovely looking place because we couldn’t travel to our apartment in Spain due to lockdown. The day after we booked it became apparent that HM Government was going to impose travel restrictions on Greece and Croat. I immediately cancelled, explaining why and mentioning that I had done this within the window to get a fill refund. They responded that they understood. ||3 weeks later I discover that they had taken £100 of my card, on speaking to my card provider they told me the hotel had tried to take 2 other payments in total of £700 for a £500 holiday 3 weeks before the booking date. ||The hotel and booking.com said they had no record of my cancellation and said I should have not cancelled via the hotel despite there being a a link to use to contact the hotel to discuss issues around the reservation. ||I proved to both booking.com by sending the cancellation emails that I was telling the truth. I really felt that they were treating me as if I had made it up||Booking.com cancelled the reservation and said they had asked the hotel for the money (emails to prove)||Today I received an email from the hotel saying they were expecting me tomorrow! ||I’ve had to go through the whole thing again. Booking.com said they hadn’t cancelled it and I could still go. I’ve had to show them the whole chain of emails and cancellations to make them actually cancel what I cancelled 6 weeks ago. ||The hotel still doesn’t accept that I cancelled even though I have sent them my email and their response. ||Im my opinion the Hotel have been trying to scam us out of the full price of the holiday from the start by simply ignoring my clear instructions. They failed in taking the money off my card earlier because I managed to block it, so they have kept the booking open to try again and charge me as a no show. Booking.com have left this in the air so I don’t know what refund we will get...
Read moreThe rooms are small & extremely steep loft to climb the dodgy rail. The steps are dangerous to climb to sleep. The bathroom is downstairs & not advisable to use during the night.
The hotel is on the flat part of Oia and not accessible to anything near by walking. There is nothing near by. You cant swim in the beach next to the hotel. There’s no shop or restaurants near this hotel either. Its in the middle of nowhere.
The food is frozen and heated in the microwave. The coffee is never freshly made, nor is the left over breakfast we are offered. Nothing gets thrown out, its served until its finished.
There is hardly any staff around, thats because they are yelled & abused by Violetta. All the staff have left unpaid by the owners. Many victims of verbal abuse by Violetta. She only has a faux facade to customers to achieve good reviews.
There’s so much other hotels to chose from than this one, in better locations, & that staff are treated with respect & decency. We experienced the verbal abuse first hand, and later heard it happens daily.
Not a place we would recommend for a Santorini...
Read moreDon't t be fooled by the photos. The accommodation is very small and basic. Some nice touches with vanity sets etc but no coffee machine. The stairs to the bedroom are steep and need to be negotiated backwards when decending. Met by 2 large resident dogs which were not restrained and uncleared dog feaces on site. Decided to have an evening meal which was terrible and to add I sult to injury we paid for twice. We paid cash to the guy on reception who was the driver, he told us when we checked in and then we were charged again when we checked out. Didn't argue as we had no receipt and wereglad to be leaving. We ordered a bottle of wine which was just handed to us to open. Whilst a screw top it had the most difficult thick plastic cover which my husband struggled to remove...
