We organized our wedding party at Laze and they only had to serve drinks (everything else was managed by other vendors) and they somehow managed to fail at this: the cocktails were low quality, the wine was insufficient (although the guests barely drank) and to top it all, instead of putting the extra drinks on my tab, they charged the guests directly. This was discussed and confirmed repeatedly just a day before the wedding, but they still messed up. Everything was paid in advance, including a 10% tip, so there was no incentive for them to do a good job. Read moreI would not recommend Laze Santorini. The setting may look nice from the outside, but the actual experience was a huge disappointment. The service was inattentive and dismissive, with staff acting as though guests were more of a burden than valued customers. The bartender was great but the rest of the crew did not want us there.
Midway through the night we asked to get the Bride bread or something of substance and they refused.
Even though our contract stated we can party until 12. At 11 they shut us down and refused to play music.

Service is mediocre and the waiter added his own gratuity to the bill without saying anything, something you shouldn't do without telling the client first, especially in Europe where tipping is not a typical custom. The reason we were the only people in the restaurant is quite obvious. A very high price to quality ratio and a lack of ownership that can oversee a poorly paid wait staff increasing their salary at the client's expense. You can most likely eat a similar quality for a lesser amount in a taverna on the south end...
