We have just returned from 3 weeks staying at Blue Sky Hotel in Petra.||Selflessly I am reluctant to post this as I don’t want too many people knowing about this hotel just in case it gets booked up and I can’t get in myself. But here goes.||Anthony is so welcoming and makes sure he introduces you to everyone, he remembers everyone’s names.||The room was large with three beds, a table and chairs inside and out on the balcony there was also a hairdryer.||Beds and shower the best we have ever had anywhere is Greece.||Kitchen area was normal for self-catering, kettle and 2 cooking rings (which I never use) and plates cups etc.||The room was kept exceptionally clean with the bedding and towels changed regularly.||We didn’t use the pool as we are beach people but it was very clean and there looked like there were plenty of sunbeds available. The whole of the complex was kept tidy and clean.||Our room overlooked the garden area where the chickens and ducks were which was very entertaining, also there were ducks in a pool at the front of the property and every evening they waddled down the path to be put to bed for the night. ||This hotel is just 2 minutes walk to the nearest restaurants and tavernas all of which are excellent serving traditional Greek food.||Thank you, Anthony, George, Gunter and Maria, for everything. Also, the lovely ladies who kept the room clean (sorry I didn’t...
Read moreProfessionally run hotel where you feel like you have known the staff for decades. What a joy it was to stay here. Just minutes walk from wonderful tavernas, the beach and gorgeous winding cobbled streets where you can soak up the beautiful architecture. Antony, George, Maria and the rest of the team at Blue Sky were so welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Mattresses were REALLY comfortable! Icy cold draught Mythos at the pool bar which was often a fantastic place to hang out in the evenings with fellow holidaymakers was the perfect end to days in the sun. The pool is lovely, clean and wel looked after. Loads of sunbeds and parasols. Crisps, nuts and ice cream available at the bar but no other snacks or meals. Gyros for €4 can be found 2 minutes’ walk away. A highlight for our kids were the hotel’s ducks and ducklings which were put to bed every evening in their pen to the sound of that well known duck song. Kids loved it. The hotel has a fruit and vegetable garden and chickens fenced off from the rest of the hotel but a joy to look at from our hotel balcony. Just a piece of self-sustainable life that was nice to look at during morning coffee yet you’re only 3 minutes walk to the beach and shops. A lovely stay. We wish everyone at Blue Sky Hotel...
Read moreA fantastic family run apartments, A great central location.|Went here with family and loved every minute,|The apartments are spotless, cleaned every other day, towels and bed linen changed as well. Pool was cleaned every night, and the grounds every morning.|If your taking kids look out for the duck parade, just brilliant. Only downside would be our timing, I would not recommend going on the 14th to 16th if you have any thoughts about sleeping, this is the religious festival for the Virgin Mary. Its just non stop.|Only reason I mention this on this review is that the apartments are in the thick of it.||I highly recommend this hotel and apartments for a chill relaxing time for family and friends.|Cant...
