Mareleon Camping — Hotel in Paggaio Municipality

We were there for a third time in a row, but first for this year. Unfortunately this time we are really disappointed. What was a nice comfortable family camping, now open for outside visitors. The result- all kind of people visiting the pool and the beach, noisy and overcrowded, you don’t feel safe to leave your stuff unattended. The pool bar - the food not as delicious as last year, very slow service, and on top, breakfast not included anymore in the stay price. The pool itself- visibly not clear anymore. Beach- Super pushing man controlling where your cup of coffee is, and questioning as”you sure you took it from the pool bar”?! Questioning are you from the camping, but not for safety, just to know to warn “5euro consummation per person” if being an outsider. In addition putting towels to keep sun-beads for outsiders, which couple of times I saw him leading to the beach to the sun-beads. I really hope that the camping owners will do their best to return the previous atmosphere, as if not, this will be...

We visited the site second time this year and it only got better. Great location you see the beach infront, you can enjoy great beach bar with really nice music, or you can relax near the pool where it is quite nad very comfortable. You get the bonus with the nice and friendly staff, not only Efi and the girls at the reception and the restaurant, the guys who maintain the area are pretty cool, you can totally relax with nice people around. The only minus I had was the street outside and the noisy motorcycles that run around all the time, and since we were with a baby i was worried at the beggining, but once you close the windows in the bungalow you cannot hear them, so it is not a big deal.

The village around is great, all taverns and shops and supermarkets are on a walking distance and pretty convenient. The food is great everywhere, we just don't have a favourite spot, all places were good.

We were very disappointed with our experience in June. There was significant miscommunication between the reception, restaurants, and the beach management. At reception, we were told we could use the beach chairs and umbrellas for free, and I specifically asked if we could bring our own items to the beach. The response was, "Yes, of course." However, on the first day at the beach, a waitress approached me and said I couldn't drink my own water and had to order from the bar. This was water, not beer, coffee, or alcohol!

The location was very noisy, right next to a busy road with constant traffic. It's not a suitable place for a peaceful vacation. If you're missing the sounds of a big city, this might be the place for you.

Additionally, there is no restaurant on-site; you have to preorder certain items.
